Fans who were already angry after the loss, erupted like a volcano after listening to Voss’ press conference.

One wrote on X: “There’s always f*ing excuses and f**ing spin. F your stupid metrics mate YOU ARE NOT UP TO THE JOB. Get the f*** out.

A second added: “Ya cooked Vossy. Couldn’t coach at Brissy. Still can’t coach at Carlton. Best thing you can do is call it and pull the pin while you can.”

Voss however wasn’t alarmed by the lacklustre start to the season, believing the Blues are just around the corner from putting it all together.

“In the context of the season, we’re at the start, so there’s plenty of runway,” he said.

“But we’ve also got feedback to suggest we’ve got to get better. We’ve got some real parts of our game that are a bit more obvious than others."
