Just pull the pin some of you and give up , some haven't been through the tough times
Goodbye 26 we are done , but hello we are top 4
The doom and gloom around this place is doing my head in a little bit this year 🤯

There is no gloom and doom. Just Bedford posting too much.
We have a great experienced team with our best 25-27 players.
We have skinny depth after that. That is reality.
We had our two aces out last week and were leading into the final quarter.
There is no gloom and doom.
Heeney will be back all guns blazing.
Gulden is out and arguably is the guy that steers the side around the park.
I flew up to Sydney and spoke to him and Heens over the bye.
I will tell you about that tomorrow.
If you don't like where we are at then "you can't handle the truth".

I think the lack of depth is a little overstated and it probably comes with competing at the pointy end of the season more times than not is that its never the "right" time to debut a player, so Sydney seem to side against it or play them out of position. As such we downplay the true ability of our depth pieces and when we have key players like Heeney and Errol out alongside a couple of "depth pieces" e.g. Cunners and Campbell, we think its done and we can't compete. But the true Sydney way is to just find a way to get it done

We need to smash WC.
Do that & we are back on track.
Against the Hawks we had an interstate game off a 5 day break which may explain the bad last quarter. If a VIC team copped that the excuses would have come fast. So let’s see how we go.

Crows copped it last week

I didn't mean you Rusty, I think you're posts are very reasonable, most of which I usually agree with or at least see the reasoning behind. But my lordy, for every one logical post/poster, there are two - we're hopeless, haven't got a chance, the team and everything about them sucks types, I just don't get the negativity.

Probably just because I'm not in the best mood this evening that the negativity is getting to me.

Now's probably not a good time to bring up Tom Mitchell and Jordan Dawson then huh

My post wasn't directed at you.
It was directed at the mood of the forum.
Bedford has been festering things too.
I just wanted to straighten up the site.
We are in prime position.
We have a great side.
Gulden out is huge but great sides find a way to win.
He will be back with plenty of games to play everything going well.
Love you Jewels.

And Brisbane this week. They play Collingwood in Melbourne on Thursday off a five day break. And they were in Melbourne last round too. Pies played in Melbourne (ie no travel either week) on Friday night.
But at least they are home , not like us and the Crows

The only short term hope, and I stress hope, is Cootee.
Cootee from reports can do a Papley in the midfield.
But even he is coming off injury.
The cupboard is almost bare.

Cootee has only just received the clearance to return to contact training. He missed the entire pre season with his injury. He is not a short term option for the senior team as he will need to build up him fitness base and then gain match fitness in the VFL before being considered for the seniors.

And won't the Dons love it when he does play

Adams out for a MINIMUM of six weeks

Gotta be considering retirement. Can't imagine he would be very fit in the second half of the year as a break-glass-in-emergancy type of case
