What is a hip pointer?
As sidey said; it’s kinda like a corkie except over a not-particularly-fleshy part of the hip. Painful but short-termish.

Moore is progressing well in his recovery from a low-grade hamstring injury and inflamed bursa that he sustained in Round 3. Moore has returned to full training and his availability will be determined following Thursday’s main training.
Steele Sidebottom


Sidebottom sustained a hip pointer in Round 5 against Fremantle. He has returned to full training and his availability will be determined following Thursday’s main training.

DeMattia is progressing well and has returned to training. He will continue to build his football loads over the coming weeks, with the aim to be available for selection in one to two weeks.

I prefer Fly's conservative approach around this to be honest. We can beat Essendon without Darce. We sure as hell would be pushing shit up hill trying to beat Hawthorn without him if he re-injures himself on Saturday. Another week to be 100% safe isn't the worst idea
