I'd say Wiz is just about the ideal player to take on the responsibility of #5 if he wants it.

Personally I'd stick with the number I was first given, even if others see it as less desirable. There is no finer example of this than Cyril.

Numbers such as 3, 5, 19 and 23 are numbers worn by modern Hawthorn legends and some of this legends can get vocal if the number is worn by a player who does not meet the required on field capabities. This was highlighted when 23 was worn by Tim O'Brien

Yeah I get that, I’m just saying personally it doesn’t matter as much, the value of history is high, but it’s just as important to let players revitalise history.

There have been many highly regarded numbers given to players who are less deserving generally speaking than those two, as examples.
