The cliff is the cats if ever there was a team that is cliff over due
cats cliff incoming in 2026
enjoy the view downwards
This has been copy & pasted over the last 15 years. Not sure how next year is any different, they’ll be there again.

1 - Brisbane - More talent and the best depth = NO CONTEST FOR THE #1 seed + should get a way kinder draw
2 - Adelaide - Get Petracca and play 2 talls instead of 3 they can get there
3 - Hawthorn - could easily go all the way when you add Merrett, Day, Finn Maginness as a tagger and a fit Mitch Lewis
4 - Western Bulldogs - if they can sort out their defence and defensive spread by their midfield
5 - Fremantle - Need to replace the 550 career goals they got from Fyfe and Walters
6 - Gold Coast - Should have the hunger to go again
7 - GWS Giants - Depth being tested but their best is clearly good enough
8 - St Kilda - the spending spree has to pay off
9 - Geelong - Will not get the softc*ck draw they got this year and will just miss out
10 - Carlton - as above
11 - Sydney - can't kick a score unless they pony up for Charlie Curnow and change their forward dynamic
12 - Collingwood - no youth and succefssully limit the Daicos boys = game won
13 - North Melbourne - if they can get some talls to assist their classy mids could go higher
14 - Port Adelaide - Carr's game plan and set up might take 12 months to come good
15 - Richmond - Tiger cubs will be an exciting team to watch but will remain inconsistent
16 - Essendon - Off field unrest and noise = poor onfield performance
17 - Melbourne - Falling off the cliff
18 - West Coast - Another year of not so goodness

Way kinder draw doubt it when you're the reigning premiers.

All teams playing for second. The lions won with a number of key players injured. They get Allen, Draper and a gun academy player plus the injured stars from 25 something really unexpected would have to happen not to win it again.
Teams will need a Gawn, Trac, Viney, Oliver in 2021 form level midfield to take them down. Their best 22 is sickeningly good.

1 Brisbane - too much quality coming in
2 Gold Coast - big step up.
3 Hawthorn
4 Fremantle - natural progression and more games form Hayden Young
5 Geelong - aging
6 Adelaide - harder draw will find them out
7 Pies - aging
8 GWS - aging stars
9 Sydney - could push higher if they have luck with injuries
10 bulldogs no decent KPB
11 Saints - new additions will take time
12 Richmond - young kids improve a bit. Might win 7-9 games

Rubbish below
13 Port
14 Carlton
15 Melbourne
16 Essendon
17 North
18 West Coast
