Anyone watch/listen to Dan Does Footy? His new co-host for the year came out with some absolute dribble about Freo today, was a hard listen

I don't think he's being all that serious, Joey is a big Hawks fan and part of the show is pumping up teams unrealistically. Joey has already bet that if Essendon don't win 8 games this year he has to eat 30 cheeseburgers in one sitting.

Every Monday Dan vents about how shit Carlton are but come Wednesday when it's time to do the tips he goes "CARLTON BY 7 GOALS WE'RE COMING BACK BABY"

I hate to be that guy, but does Pav even have any soft spot for Freo anymore?

He was a bit cold towards us when he was in the media, kinda felt like he closed that book once he retired.

I disagree - I always felt when he was at Fox he was trying very hard to seem impartial and that's why he was sometimes construed as being a bit cold towards Freo. I know they're not the sharpest tools in the sheds but WCE fans always told me he was biased towards us in commentary, I never quite saw that myself, but I do feel like the soft spot was still well and truly there under a very professional exterior.

Schofield by comparison is way more anti WCE on comms then Pav was anti Freo I think.

Because he is a f***en bad ass. Hope he is feeling better for this week. Need him to restrict the Hawks intercept game. He will likely have Weddle, Sicily and Scrimshaw trying to run off him.

Agreed but out of all the footy pods I actually enjoy it the most - good mix of some serious footy discussion and fun. Starting to really dislike a lot of the others (FAF in particular is pretty awful).

I like Shelter FootyCast and BackChat the most tbh - Schofield is great. Don't mind DDF for the comedic value, and I listen to the Traders for AFL fantasy but thats it, the rest are meh.

Backchat good. I have one great dislike of backchat, and I was tempted to email them this week - honestly my life is that sad.

I feel like the JBM (this year) absolutely underrates/disrespects Alex Pearce. Never gets votes, never gets mentioned as one of the best defenders in the league.

Actually now you’ve pointed it out, that’s pretty true. I feel like he deserves a bit more praise from them. I almost wonder if he gets forgotten because he just does it every week, week in week out.

Yeo copping some (deserved) flack for his reply to a question about the club being in a rut.

In his reply his follow up comments he says "call me loyal" etc.

I am not sure that I see players who walk out on their original clubs get to make that claim.

I'm not having a crack at players changing clubs. It happens for different reasons. But loyalty is what the likes of Pavlich and Mundy showed. Not the likes of Neale or Yeo.

If you thought the 2017 Grand Final was bad with 40 shots of Richo tying himself in knots, try a 2026 Freo V Swans Grand Final with 120 shots of Pav trying to look impassive. I expect him not to crack (he's a pro) unless it's within a goal with a minute to go. If he holds on then he will blow a gasket after being whisked into our rooms in disguise after.

hilariously I can vividly remember him doing jog throughs/sprints and would do squats at the end of each rep when he came back on the ground for the medical. I had assumed he was testing a quad or glute but now I realise he was probably seeing if he would shit himself, lol.
