Spoke to the club this morning re the missing membership cards. Said it was a error with the fulfilment company and the actual cards will be mailed later this week.

Yeah. After getting a fair bit out of my system, I'm now a bit indifferent. This may change soon-ish but I think the women have actually made things worse during their run of domination; they've magnified the follies of the men's side, and brought me round to questioning why I'm so invested when the men clearly aren't as invested as the women. We've all spent hours typing out meaningless recommendations and emotional rants on here. There may actually be a breaking point for rusted-on fans. 2020 didn't bring it out. 2022 didn't bring it out. 2024 (an underrated-ly shit season) didn't bring it out. But I might actually be finally running out of ****s for this team that refuses to prove itself.

You're absolutely right. Looking like a football team is a must. A total non-negotiable. I'm not looking forward to the start of the season in the least atm, and that is squarely an indictment on them, not me. I'm the sucker who has paid thousands to watch this rubbish; that's the only badge of dishonour I'll claim

Didn't know where to post this but the socials coverage from our team really leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of the other clubs are putting out some really high quality pre-season footage/documentary style videos meanwhile we get Roo Shop discount posts if we're lucky. Lift team!!!

2022 really pushed my limits. That was the most awful we've been.

It was ok for me because at some point I just accepted we were in the depths of hell (and somehow simultaneously held the view that Nobles wasn't to blame; don't ask me what I was smoking).

I've rarely felt so connected to the fanbase as during the GWS game that year where we let them get the first eight goals. All 13k of us who were there just collectively decided to stay sardonically cheerful. Cheered our first goal like we were in a final. Solid gallows humour.

But yeah, I get it. Not a year I want to repeat

I will concede that the GWS game was sadly funny af. When you're so bad that supporters start celebrating a goal like a grand final or even screaming ball when one of our players is tackled lol.

Interesting that I got everything with my delivery , including my membership card, and early. Although it would have been nice to have a clip on the end of the lanyard.
