Makes sense. The club sees him as a defender.
He’s only got a 6 month contract, so we will find out real quick.Makes sense.
We look at defenders - That's a Forward!
Look at forward - That's a defender!
Look at a tall forward - Ruck for you buddy.
Small forward? - Rebounding half back.
Regardless, I'm all in on him.

Port are taking lewis hamilton
Won’t last back in North VFL by 2028Sad to see Xavier go to such a scummy club. Poor bugger.
Yeah, I know, it's my club. I just like putting Mentone first as that's my affiliation. Edwards I just slipped in from being in the area, my wife never taught him directly but they knew each other through school, he was of palpable disappointment.
Ha, small world. I wasn't SBM but have a premiership reunion with a few bevo-adjacent ex-tigers at a separate club in a few weeks. On the school side, Greg Healy was another understandably, Grant Thomas, Jack Steven completed his VCE at St Bedes (barely), Hayden McLean was either Beda or Grammar, Will Fordham, and a few other recents. Ex-AFL had a few Socceroos including Vinnie Grella for a short time. Shiel was poached by Caulfield after Year 9 which set off a bit of handbags at 10 yards between ACC and APS for a bitA couple more recent ones are Amartey, Scrimshaw and Mitch Owens, can't forget Mitch Brown either. St Bedes had Finn Callaghan and Miles Bergman, not forgetting there Gerard Healy, Dylan Shiel and the aforementioned Bevo.
Somehow I can’t help but think the thought of a 5’5” ruck and a 6’5” goal sneak are about a half thought away with our recruiting and coaches…Makes sense.

Always is - went to school with Will Fordham's older brother who was rough around the edges but a decent bloke to have on your side, a couple of stories for another time, but would have loved to have seen Will do well at North. Have mates that are close with him and did pretty well at Dolphins post-North. Good kid from a challenged backgroundI knew I’d miss a few too, must be pretty nice too to have a local join us.
I don't like having to correct you Passmore but it's not the Ollie Griffin train it's... All Aboard Ollie's Trolley. All aboard the Ollie Griffin train...tickets please...
I think West Coast taking Francou was a domino. Port may have taken him, son of Josh and not Bamert. Is this good? I thought we were getting Bamert but Ollie looks like a goer!
Can't see it happening but hopefully we can convince Watkins to come back with him when Butters leaves, though I doubt Jack returns to us in that case anyway. No bad blood just fresh crack at another AFL-aligned side or cash in better at standalone/local. Have a feeling we like the idea of Ollie's utility/versatility anyway which seems to be a trend for us in the hybrid/KP space.Bit bummed still we didn't pull the trigger on Thredgold when it was pretty easy to guess a Lisfranc/surgery would scupper his season and take Bamert. He's going to be a ripper for Port.
Ah well. Hopefully Griffin goes well for us now.

Not exactly a footy factory ol' Mentone Grammar with alumni like Leigh Fisher, Glen Nugent, Ollie Florent and Shane Warne but I'm sure there's some better ones out there. Who have St Bedes produced beyond Lawrence Angwin and Brad Hodge? Just curious really, I'm sure there's also some very handy types that have gone there too.
Haha apart from the academia side of things, which one brother tried to adjust once and was removed. To be fair, Tim Flannery got expelled due to his views but to the credit of the school was reinstated and celebrated for his contribution to scienceGerard and Greg Healy, Dylan Shiel, Finn Callaghan, Miles Bergman, Hayden McLean, Luke Bevridge, Grant Thomas, Calsher Deer, Harry Oliver, Barry Breen, Peter Russo, Paul Callery, Brian Sierakowski.
Brad Hodge, Scott Boland, Jon Holland on the cricket side of things.
Brad Hughes, Nathan Holman golf wise.
Vince Grella, Eugene Galekovic with soccer.
Jet and British India music wise.
Bit of an all-rounder school.
Had Bamert shown much then?
