Unfortunately, even with all the hype of the new players and a successful season last year, they still can't fill up their stadium and the home crowd would be making up no more than 70% of the attendees.

To be fair, cant blame any academies for producing wonderful talent but I guess this is why they changed the rules.

The pipeline up on the Brisbane/Gold Coast is no joke. Top 10 draft talent just comes out year after year.

Brisbane have got some real talent from their academy, no doubt. Though the best of them was a relatively unrated player when drafted (relative to his current status in the game). It was their additional good fortune of access to three quality FS players over two drafts that has been the huge cherry on top.
