I've asked others they paid up to 6k .

The cav doddles I've seen have been great ,very freindly and playful...I like em .

I'd have one of them aswell.

He's also a bit overweight. Vet has warned us a bit. Kids keep feeding him their food. I think his diet is like 50% tiny teddies

Think it's a combination of supply issues, and lack of staff due to covid related reasons - either positive themselves or isolating as a close contact

And totally agree about Coles & Woolworths etc - they're being hit by the same issues in regards to staff & supply delays

I was reading on Thursday that multiple Bunnings stores across Geelong have can impacted by reduced staff members - Leopold was down something like 30+, Waurn Ponds reportedly similar with reports of 30 minute waits for those trying to check out because they didn't have the staff availablity to open more check-outs

I was keen to get the smoker on over the weekend, get some brisket and ribs on but not going out of my way just local woollies. Could get pork shoulder, lamb leg/shoulder or bolar blade and that was it. Shelves were 50% empty

I buy the odd bit of meat from the supermarket, but I found a new butcher (for me) about 18 months ago and now preference them

Last night on 7 news they had some quack on saying that we should be open to getting Omicron as it will increase our natural resilience towards Covid as a whole. Then on Sunrise this morning they contradicted themselves saying that such a mindset is fraught with danger and that no epidemic in the past was resolved in that manner.

Of course, more people would've been watching the evening news than Sunrise at 7.30am on a Saturday morning.

I think I'll just wait to get my booster shot next week.

Someone else pointed out too that when a Labor state like Victoria or Queensland sets down mandates, it's referred to in the media as a restriction, but when similar things are announced in a Liberal state like NSW, it's referred to as a safety measure.

The media are as complicit in what is happening at the moment as SloMo and co are.

Not continually locking down. We were promised no lockdowns or restrictions when the vax targets were hit for this very reason.

If folks want to discuss covid content, including the severity of the different strains then ensure there's validity to what's being said and not just some media speculation

Omicron may be a "milder" strain but that doesn't necessarily make it mild or "no worse than the flu" - and considering the annual flu deaths world wide prior to covid, not sure it's necessarily something we should be rejoicing in either. Plus, reading the experiences of different people who have tested positive, yes for some they get what would be deemed mild, for others they'd tell you it's anything but mild - so let's not make unsubstantiated claims

Never understood why people ignore seasonal influenza, it still kills thousands every year.

Of course, SARS-CoV-2 will eventually mutate and subsume into the mix of virii that are considered seasonal flu, but we're not there yet.
