I recently "lost" another friend off a different chat site. Account has just disappeared.

Not sure what he did to get permanently banned.

You can always make up some email and use that in here so he can contact you or what not. He would probably see what's happening every now and again.

Usually I have ppl I’m friends with off forum so if that happens I don’t lose contact but never had spazz offline.

But... what happened to him went way over the line. Certain things you dont do on BF. a. copy and paste PMs in threads, and b. stalk ppl irl/find out who they are.

Yeah, also known as "doxing," it's unfortunately very common here in the States. People don't want to play nice with others, it seems.

Have heard some super creepy stories, including ppl who have shown up at ppls houses.

I've been online (i.e. email) a very long time, and have both traveled to meet online friends and had them come to visit me. It's all good in my experience, people want to be liked.

But there's a toxic mix in the more modern social media, esp Twitter, and it seems to bring out the worst in everybody.

At least you BF people seem nice enough. Almost hate to admit it, but I spend more time poking around on BF web forum than any other quasi social medium.

And I love that.

I actually like my privacy. And in general (unless overseas or something) HATE taking photos of myself, and I could not think of anything worse than being on insta and doing that on a regular basis.
