Well it's now Round 22 and many of us are well and truly out of Supercoach Finals after another horror year.

So it's time to start planning for next year's season of Disappointment :p
I will definitely have a different plan next year but I don't know what it is just yet:moustache:

There will be quite a few Round 1 draft picks from last year that will be much cheaper $120k

Jagga Smith
Josh Smillie
Sid Draper

Also plenty of Midpricers

Kiddy Coleman
Tom Doedee
Cam Guthrie
Mattaes Phillipou
Nic Newman
Max King
Darcy Parish
Hayden Young
Josh Kelly
Elliot Yeo
Marty Hore
Cody Weightman
Colby McKercher

NWM is locked and loaded.
Bont and Darcy will be too hard to pass up.
Who tf knows which ruck combo to go with.
Jackson R/F will be a lock in many teams.

Then throw a blanket over Finn, Butters, Baz, Daicos, Rowell, Dawson and Brayshaw..

Will go Guns and Rookies like I usually do.

Picked a few mid price players at the start of this year and just ended up side ways trading them out of frustration.

Usually can pick 12 Guns when playing guns and rookies so it will be something like

Nas
Whitfield
Sinclair

Bont
Butters
Anderson
Brayshaw

Gawn
Xerri

Jackson
Rankine
Horn Francis

Lots of rookies maybe a few value picks

I dunno.

No "value" premo's in the $450k range i.e. Perryman and Roberts this year.

As GnR as possible, only midpricers with clear upside i.e. Daniel this year. They need to be a clear 30 points unders to consider.

NWM as a defender is a lock. Bont, Anderson, Washcroft. Probably Butters.
Darcy and Jackson
Gawn and another

Yes there is.

Will Day will be around 400k with the 6 game discount 🔒
Hayden Young won’t get a discount but will still be around 400k, but you’d want a solid preseason from him given injury history.
DeGoey will be cheap.

Not touching Day or De Goey. Young maybe, but he's a trade out at some point.

My two worst years playing SC by a long long way. Just terrible.

Thinking I might focus on leagues next year instead of overall. Start all playing rookies in R1 then fill in missing spots with guns. Minimal trades first 8 weeks. Generate max cash then go hard after that and come home strong.

Josh Jelly, Yeo and Newman no thanks from your list.

Adding to the watch list;
Fletcher
WAshcroft
Sheldrick
Max Heath

Probably won’t go near De Goey either, but Day is a lock at 400k IMO. Even just for the first 4-6 weeks.

If Young stays fit (that’s a massive if) then he’s a season long keeper.

Day 6 games @99 so maybe gets 10%. So probably $450k odd. The lower the better, then he sucks more in.

Easiest decision of the lot. Pick 2 of Gawn, Grundy, Xerri. Prob in that order for me personally.

100% not even looking in de goeys direction.

I dont mind picking value premos i will need to trade out. not many of our starting players, make it through the season in our teams.

day, depending on price, could become a bailey smith type pick.

definitely interested in young, and can see him being very reasonably priced.

few others to take note of.. mcgrath might be of decent value. darcy and briggs. treloar maybe. steele and LDU. draper? stewart.. even freijah and houston.

dont have much interest in paying full price for too many players.

gawn and xerri for me. buy grundy will cause headaches.

definitely not an easy decision.
Very easy decision. Can’t go wrong with any combo of those three. Might seriously consider all three using flex. Having played a season with it, I reckon we all highly over thought that position, even if we knew we were. Highest score wins, and those three are in the top 4 on averages. Xerri’s stupid suspension costing him for points overall.

Briggs no way. Means skipping Gawn, Xerri or Grundy. Crazy talk.

Treloar is 86 and injury prone, def not. Steele isn’t like Clarry, done. LDU is the type of burnman that makes Shitfield jealous. Stewart too old and role changed. Houston has been dogshit at the Pies. Freijah def a watch.

Sheldrick might be worth a look depending on preseason form. currently priced at 67.
I added him above. Definitely on the watch list.

Currently looking at 12 Premo's

Backline: NWM,Whitfield,McKercher

Midfield: Bont,Butters,Rowell,Naicos

Rucks: Gawn,Xerri

Forward: Jackson,Petracca,Darcy

Then Midpricers maybe

Coleman(Def) Philippou(Fwd) King(Fwd) Sheldrick(Mid) Young (Mid)

I'd estimate Yeo around $510k based on Bailey Smith this year. No thanks. Weightman at $260k is tempting, but awkward for a guy that probably averages 70

I'm not researching on club boards. Got sucked in to the SDK, Perryman and others similar because of training reports on them in "new roles"

Defo need a DPP R3 after carrying Boyd all year.

Have to cut down on uniques as well. If a Bont type gets injured, No hig deal because everyone has him. But 4 or 5 PODs going down is a killer.
