Do the AFL have no shame at all? Full fixture the day before the First Ashes test.
Just like that year they released the fixture during our WC round of 16 match.

They're the biggest code in the land and should be able to let other codes breathe.
Fixture is coming today, Ashes starts next Friday (21st). There's a week in between

Relax

Byes

R2: Bris, Carlton, Pies, Cats
R3: Suns, WB, Hawks, Sydney
R4: GWS, St Kilda

R12: Adelaide, Suns, Port, North
R13: GWS, Richmond
R14: Pies, Hawks, Carlton, Freo
R15: Lions, Sydney, WC, Essendon
R16: WB, Cats, St Kilda, Melbourne

10 teams playing Opening round and having early byes almost kills Supercoach.

Carltin vs Sydney as the opener 🤮🤮🤮

But damn that's a lot of players with two byes. Surely round 0 has to count for fantasy next year.
People have a right to see Carlton humbled by Richmond in the season opener

Whets the appetite for Carlton drubbings to come

Good luck to anyone who manages to navigate that. The AFL do their best to **** up every decision they make.

No opening round, have two split rounds so everyone gets two byes. There’s no negatives to this.

I might just avoid as many early bye players as possible. This team only has 3 bye players that most will have at the start of the season Flanders,Daniels & Coleman.

Who do we like of the 1st round picks?

  • Duursma will play every week but be expensive. Could start half back. 🔒
  • Uwland and Patterson could score well in SC friendly roles but spots will be tight. A watch.
  • CDT and Dean will play most weeks but are talls and will be expensive. Probably pass.
  • Richmond and Essendon draftees will play early and often. A couple will be good picks. The question is which?
  • Pickett and Taylor will play alot of games for Melbourne. Id probably avoid Pickett due to role and price, but Taylor could be good.

Sharp is ready to go round 1, will fit into the Setterfield defensive mid role which means lots of tackles and won't be too expensive given pick 13. I think if he's selected round 1 he should be the biggest lock of the rookies. Already proven he can do it at senior level in the SANFL.

Forgot to add in SANFL U18's he averaged 161 in supercoach. U18 champs he averaged 155 and playing the defensive mid role in the SANFL seniors with restricted ToG he averaged 77

I'm not sure I will be starting many of these 1st Rounders next year there will be plenty of older 2-3 year players with a $120k starting price which will probably be better options.

Sharp got to be the easiest rookie pick next year. Nice that he slipped to 13 to be a bit cheaper too.

Uwland and Patterson will play wing (if at all) early on. Can't see them being good SC picks. I was kinda hoping Addinsall got to WC as he would have been a SC pig for them.

(Not trying to start fights here) Will they actually play him? Looking from a far surely the Pies have to starting getting a few young players into the team at some point right?
If drafted he'll play.

I know the family, old man is a big unit

He's still growing and will develop into a big beast midfielder.

Will be a bargain for whoever gets to draft him

Already 195cm if he grows anymore he might be a bit big for a Midfielder.
