Apparently they have signed Will Kennedy from Seaford (former Frankston VFL)

Caulfield Grammarians tried to get him back but apparently a massive offer from Noble Park.
The Bulls will bounce back in 2026. Many wrote them off this year, but I think they did great, and a few quality additions will push them back into the top 4.

Also got Calder from Vermont.

Shame for Vermont to lose a home-grown junior

(A Vermont homegrown junior, by which I mean they poached him in Under 15s)

Its hilarious when they piss down kids and parents backs and tell them its raining vermont. "Come play for us and get noticed by our vermont affiliated inter league and coates league coaches, in what is supposed to be a fair system, and shock when you get found out later on you can always come back to us!!!!"
Doncaster seem to have signed 5 of their previous players. Pretty crazy when they would have had 30 odd before calling it surely?

Poaching other dying clubs players like forest hill and ashwood, Robbing peter to pay paul for local footy, however I sense a year or two like donvale's return year. more and more clubs have money, croydon north would have spent a fortune for div 4 to come 2nd last.

Ringwood flying under the radar with their signings. They will be big improvers next season
Picking up Nth Ringwood reserve players isn’t the way I would have thought is going to help them climb the ladder to much, basically just recruiting ok senior players. Nth Ringwood are only 1 division above Ringwood.

Calder from Vermont should be a handy player for them.

Has anyone been reading the write ups for Ringwood recruits and resignings , you’d think all these guys had played AFL footy 😂. Talk about blowing the trumpet.

the FH guys were either signed at the club last off season or have played at donny previously have come back to play with mates
poaching implies club has gone after someone which is very misleading

The ruckman should be handy as well (although it seems like they have a bit of capital invested in 2 ruckman which I’m not sure is the best move).
The young kid from Traralgon only played one game for Gippsland Power and wasn’t setting the world on fire at Traralgon so wouldn’t be surprised if he’s just a fringe player.

Don’t really blame either club but it’s never great when struggling clubs are just taking players off each other… it reinforces the fact that there’s a larger issue, not enough players to sustain so many clubs.

Absolutely Bunk Moreland, many clubs this year struggled with numbers with junior players often filling gaps in reserves teams after playing in an unders game. There are not enough players and things changed significantly post COVID with people having changed priorities including travel and weekend work.

Many clubs are struggling and this will get worse. Some of the clubs in the lower divisions are nearly at the stage of shutting the door and whilst Doncaster may get back on field, it is coming at the expense of other clubs. I hear it’s unlikely Nunawading will reform and Forest Hill may be close to going into recess too sadly. Some clubs in higher divisions also in a bit of trouble too with player losses combined with poor numbers in season 2025.
