i was told Thregold was season....
August I think
At most he maybe gets a month of vfl

I’d put him LTI instead

Let him take longer to rehab to get it 100% right and just have a longer preseason

We don’t gain much out of him playing a month of vfl compared to a SSP coming in for a full year

I’m inclined to back in every player as soon as they don the blue and white. However, it seems strange to me that there seems to be more excitement around possible supplementary players than listed draftees. On the face of it, these mature players would be expected to deliver at the same level as Toby Pink. However, Toby is a special case - he delivers well beyond his apparent talent. So, realistically, aren’t we getting excited about, more than likely, sub-Pink prospects? I’m more than happy to be “schooled” on this subject.

Shiny new toys. BF traditionally loves them.

1 month of listed draftee (vfl)
Vs full year of SSP (potentially afl at some stage)who we can cull easily at years end if they didn’t show anything

Pretty easy choice for mine take the extra SSP and see if they earn themselves an extension and if they don’t well we didn’t lose anything other than some vfl time

Even if Thregokd does get back for the last month of the season, history would tell you that someone else will have most likely copped something that rules them out that can be moved to the LTI.

I don’t know enough about the guys we are trialling, but if they are in a position of need, I don’t see why you wouldn’t roll the dice to see if one stands up at AFL level?

Other clubs find gold in SSP, midseason, Cat B, rookie pools.

Maybe Banch and Trembath not completely sucking so far in their careers has collective hopes up that our talent identification, finally (hopefully?) might be on the up.

Hence these lads fighting it out might actually be promising players.

Lay off the Koolaid, friend.

When our recruits this decade outside the 1st 2 rounds include such household names as Edwards, Payne, K.Dawson, P.Walker, Sellers, Drury - excuse me if Banch and Trembath feel like landing prime age Akermanis and Lockett by comparison.

They do.

I'm a Koolaid connoisseur, let's be real here. In 0Game Hugo we trust, in 0game Goater we trust and in 0game George we most certainly trust.

Fair enough. So, in general, would we be excited if they reached Toby’s level, then.
