Barossa - North, Brisbane, GWS, Richmond

So…. 13 away matches off Broadway for the eight Non-Victorian teams, 7 for the 10 Victorian teams.

None for Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon, Bulldogs. Hawks host matches in Tassie.

Seems fair to me. If you can’t get a decent crowd in Melbourne when you play non-Victorian teams why not turn this to your advantage and sell these games.

It's ridiculous how Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon don't get at least 1 game let's say in Tassie. These teams are well supported in TAS.

Collingwood never play in Geelong as well.

Looking forward to Hawthorn vs Adelaide in Launceston next year, hopefully it is just as cold this time round but the scoreline is more than 48-44. Will be prepared. Going to book the same seats as last time. Hawks vs Adelaide probably the only real crowd drawing game in Launceston, will be another sellout I think.

Sorry to break it to you, the club basically just said they’re about to extend Nicks before the season starts.

That means as bad as the season goes, he’ll see out at least the start of 2027.

This rubbish makes me laugh this is based on what this year ? You wont know how hard or easy the draw is until half way thru next season just because teams were good this year means stuff all next year .The top 8 tells you this every year there are 2-3 changes in the 8

I dont think it had anything to do with it. My guess is the AFL know post Bailey Smith that they rail roaded Rankine and the last thing they need is for another circus to occur where Collingwood make the situation worse. So they are trying to set and forget this ever happened is my take.

Isn't this about what we should realistically expect?

There are 9 teams in Melbourne, 9 outside Melbourne. Then consider the Marvel teams and teams who play in Tas and Ballarat. You don't play every team twice.

11 away games less Port = 10. 6 interstate sides should average 3 = 7 in VIC. Cats away year = 6 games available for MCG.

My firm view is that expected interstate finalists should play all their Melbourne games at finals venues. Playing Hawks in Tassie as an expected finalists is a farce. Bombers and Dogs should also be at the G. Essendon host Freo there, so we should get the same and Dogs are also expected finalists with 2 only G games.

I have no issue playing there, it is their home ground. I just wish everyone played there…
