Who plays away matches in the sticks?
Launceston - Adelaide, Gold Coast, Melbourne, North
Hobart - Brisbane
Darwin - Port, St Kilda
Canberra - North, Freo, Suns
Alice Springs - GWS
Bunbury - Freo
Norwood - Sydney, Suns, Geelong, West Coast
Barossa - North, Brisbane, GWS, Richmond
So…. 13 away matches off Broadway for the eight Non-Victorian teams, 7 for the 10 Victorian teams.
None for Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon, Bulldogs. Hawks host matches in Tassie.
Seems fair to me. If you can’t get a decent crowd in Melbourne when you play non-Victorian teams why not turn this to your advantage and sell these games.

Yes it’s Port, but holy shit this is ****ing A tier from their social team
Prefer us playing Collingwood away in round 1 in warmish conditions than away late in the season. We played our best football in the first half of the year last year imo.
They ripped it off the LA Chargers in the NFL just like the ripped their dumb pre game song off Liverpool.

The 2026 will decide the future of our coach I think. Miss the finals and I think it is Nicks out.
and how convenient..no Rankine for that game. that wasn't pre planned by the AFL or anything like that to give Collingwood a leg up against us this time out......3rd time playing Collingwood in round 1. Won the 2 previous matches. 2006, 2009. Both in Melbourne.
This rubbish makes me laugh this is based on what this year ? You wont know how hard or easy the draw is until half way thru next season just because teams were good this year means stuff all next year .The top 8 tells you this every year there are 2-3 changes in the 8So we are apparently going from actual 6th easiest fixture to 12th easiest.

It is so ****ing obviousCollingwood 1st game after they have been conditioned in round 0.
Round 0 teams should play themselves again in round 1.
Really? So? It’s still elite content and the references for each team are so good!
Anyone that remembers Sims 2 will love it.
Personal highlights -
Merrett sitting on the shitter not being able to change his Essendon jumper
Petracca trying to cook on the stove and causing a fire
Bailey Smith getting eaten by a Venus fly trap
Brutal start to the season.
Need to be at worst 2-2 to after the first month.

Isn't this about what we should realistically expect?
There are 9 teams in Melbourne, 9 outside Melbourne. Then consider the Marvel teams and teams who play in Tas and Ballarat. You don't play every team twice.
Collingwood away in Round 1. The final week of Izak’s suspension. All very convenient. And for the best to be honest - you don’t need that circus to start a new year (him playing and all the media nonsense, plus the expected reaction from the home crowd).
Nicks will be nervous.
Will feel better about the top 10 for finals.
By finals, our boys will be all banged up and tired from the tough schedule
You have to start supporting Collingwood for that. Probably not worth it.
I have no issue playing there, it is their home ground. I just wish everyone played there…
I will be popping that bottle of vueve in the fridge when we finally do win there though. Champagne doesn’t go off does it?
