Nice effort think that’s fairly close just hate the half forwards. Neither play there. Petracca if you have to plonk a mid there. Surely Ginnavan has to be there, near the form player in a side that’s top 4, and I’m not sure Sheezel is there yet but he’s ultra close personally

Sheezel has been sensational. If Daicos is a sure thing, that guy needs to be too.
Very similar output to Daicos so far and he's now beginning to drift forward and hit the scoreboard.

Fair enough I’ve missed 2 of their games. I’d have Serong over him myself

Why are you so mad
Because Luke Ryan, the 20th-40th ranked defender this season depending on what you look at, is not a lock in people's teams and I'm helping explain why. That and not having Amiss as the best young key forward in the game right now.

This bloke has had tantrums over the previous 3 seasons at about 9 different Fremantle players not being in people's teams. Sometimes he complains even when they are in a handful of teams, like with Pearce.

Good ole Ronnie, has about 10 freo players locked in the team every season.

Haven’t locked one player in ‘26
Worse coach in the league with the best defence you’d think we’d have a couple in the squad but I don’t watch other teams like oppo intently watch freo so who am I to know.

Riley Beveridge's AA team at the completion of the first quarter of the season is a pretty solid effort.

I went to post this to.... mainly because I'm a roos supporter and most in this thread aren't giving those 3 players their dues!

In fairness though it is super close RE sheezel and LDU. They're definetly having AA years, but aren't screaming 100% lock like a butters or Smith.

For instance could put max Holmes instead of one of them and no one would bat an eyelid except for me 😆

Serong in here over guys like holmes is laughable in my opinion

16,24,24 touches in half his games, guys like him who have such bad ball use need close to 30 to impact

They are not competing for the same spot. Holmes has to take out a HBF, he's playing defence this year basically. If it's not Serong, you put in another genuine mid there, who that is not sure. Actually think Oliver is very very close, forget that GWS stink this year, it's not because of Oliver there

Loving these ‘forwards’ Heeney and Bont. I know they impact inside 50 but jfc they’re midfielders. Proper rage bait as per usual.

Don't even get me started. The only 'mid' who I'd accept there would be Petracca as he's splitting time there, but seriously Heeney kicks a goal as he runs from the middle and he's a forward now? Ditto Bont. The best HFF and it's by a distance for mine is Ginnavan. If there's another people want to name I'm all ears. Murphy Reid would be the other one that comes to mind especially if Freo end top 4.

Hard to argue with that team after Round 6. Maybe Jack Steele in for LDU. I reckon Sheezel will be the only North player in the end of season AA team with their fixture about to get a lot tougher.

Needs more Ginbey

As some of you many know I have a player rankings model which weights the most important metrics to winning football.

This is the best 23 best players other than the two key-defenders (ranked 56th & 58th)

2026 All-Australian Team Round 6

B:
Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (STK) Harris Andrews (BL) Nick Blakey (SYD)

HB: Jack Ginnivan (HAW) Callum Wilkie (STK) Max Holmes (GEE)

C: Bailey Smith (GEE) Justin McInerney (SYD) Luke Davies-Uniacke (NM)

HF: Zac Bailey (BL) Isaac Heeney (SYD) Christian Petracca (GC)

F: Nick Watson (HAW) Josh Treacy (FRE) Kysaiah Pickett (MEL)

FOLL: Max Gawn (MEL) Marcus Bontempelli (WB) Nick Daicos (COL)

INT: Caleb Serong (FRE)
Zak Butters (PA)
Jason Horne-Francis (PA)
Shai Bolton (FRE)
Josh Rachele (ADE)

Out: Taylor Walker 23rd ranked, Zach Merrett 20th ranked lose their spots to two key defenders.

I could see Jack Sinclair (29th) and Wayne Milera (33rd) take a half back or back pocket position if they rank up.

You're probably wondering where the top 2 in the Coleman are in King (68th) and Gunston (39th) as they plays as your traditional FF, but they just don't do enough else to be ranked higher.

Although if we had to pick someone for FF other than Tracey (12th) and move him to CHF (which is actually more his position), then it you could argue a more traditional FF Gunston or Walker who provides more more value this season than just goals.

This would mean moving Heeney (3rd) out of CHF to rover and then knock Daicos (8th) out of that position, but then where do you put Daicos? Wing? LDU (10th) to the interchange?

Got to love an algorithm where players can miss 33% or 50% of the games played, and still be picked amongst the best in the league.

And who needs your forwards to kick goals, when they can accrue Player Ratings points instead?
