It's early in preseason, but who do we like to start R1?

Good shout on Lombard and Jagga. Both auto picks if they get named R1One of Lombard and Rogers will play for the Suns. Possibly both. Uwland a good chance too.
That Retschko fella could get a run for Richmond.
Serong at Sydney, Jagga at Carlton.

Carmichael a chance?Arthur Jones 119k Mid/Fwd an option too
Would say so if not him Jaques also a chanceCarmichael a chance?
Sharp and Farrow interest me from your mob, Visentini at R3 if Bryan isn't ready.Locks (will be named R1):
- Sharp
- Marshall
- Phillipou
- Gibcus

- Brodie

Farrow will be a lock if he starts in the team. Excellent ball user. But we have a lot of depth at half back at the moment so I can't see him being in there round 1.Sharp and Farrow interest me from your mob, Visentini at R3 if Bryan isn't ready.
Enough options this year especially forward and midsJust need to remind myself it’s too early for team picker.

Probably just a place holder at this stage. Doesn't hurt to put a couple of $150k+ rookies in, easier to correct down then.Seen a few people with Latrelle Pickett in their sides, hadn't really thought about him. Do people think he'll be better than Kako was this year?
He would be similar to Kako.Seen a few people with Latrelle Pickett in their sides, hadn't really thought about him. Do people think he'll be better than Kako was this year?
Johnson looked a good player last year. $273k is a terrible price for a fringe player though.Bombers Rookies
* Sharp
If Zak Johnson is in the 22, would consider having him too.
With a full preseason can score well. Could have a season like Roberts did this year.
So far Saad El_Hawli training well.
Note: Hussein El-Achkar, would be unlikely for round 1, due to fitness, needs to build tank.
Same proably goes for Robey given back injury and interrupted pre season
Farrow if all defenders are healthy likely outside 22. But Farrow has been decent so far at training, wo will see how he progresses in the new year. Would be good supercoach as he doesn't waste his disposals.
Gerryn looks to have added some versatitlity and trimmed down and might be a key defender chance if there are any injuries to McKay/Ridley/Reid. I would put a watch on him.
well it depends if he is fringe or not.Johnson looked a good player last year. $273k is a terrible price though for a fringe player though.
Yeah I liked him, it's just a hard to be a good SC pick at that price. Needs to average 75-80 to be worth it.well it depends if he is fringe or not.
With out Martin for the year, Johnson could be used as the playmaker off half back or even from forwardline pushing up to defence as extra and then kicking through the zone on the way out.
The other possible for the role is Farrow who is also a great ball user from defence.
Plus a fit Reid will mean can use him a fair bit as well.
Johnson was sub a bit due to being one of the youngest in the comp and not having a preseason due to his shoulder injury.
If he shows he is over those, he would be a smokey for the rising star IMO.
he can rack the ball up, it just depends on where Brad plays him.
He got 29 disposals against the cats, and played well when played Premiers when came on as sub he helped us score.
After the cats game Brad subbed him out of games started him as sub and played him in mainly defensive roles.
But he definetly has PIG games in him.
Johnson had over 20 disposals in every VFL game and got tagged in some.
Will see how he goes in the practice matches. Its definelty mid price mayhem.Yeah I liked him, it's just a hard to be a good SC at that price. Needs to average 75-80 to be worth it.
