Jaques role got chopped around a bit, firstly with Libba out, then Reddog late out changed the dynamic with his replacement (McNeill) having already played 3 qtrs at VFL, then Jones and English reduced interchanges, as did Lobb late. See Bevo's presser.Missing Farrow's score this week was tough. Was my original trade in before Naicos was out and I shifted to a sideways-upgrade trade structure. Will hopefully target him this week, with a small upgrade of Windsor to Newman on the other end.
Caldwell has been the thorn in my side this year. Picked him as a guy with the ability to go 112+, thought he would have the keys to the Essendon midfield with Zerret pushed to a flank with his impending exit. At half time in Round 1 on 77 I thought I had nailed it. Since then he's been very frustrating to own, limped to a tonne against Port Adelaide but then put in 86 against North and now 71 against the Dogs, matchups where he should be tonning. I think at this stage - there's no point moving him on, with Best 22 returning his seniority over a rookie will still be important. I may lose 100k, but I think at this point I need to hold him until the Bye or at least hold him until there is that odd week in the upgrade cycle where we don't have enough cash to go one-up one-down and you need someone with a cash-base to upgrade. I have to just hope he can find some scores for me every no and then until he does.
What happened to Tim English, I was out last night and missed it. Is it going to require a trade or are we good? Disappointing that he got injured as he was on his way to a tonne, but most everyone serious has him.
Disappointed in 67 from Jaques, thought this was the opportunity to get a big break out score. Did anyone see what stopped him? I think Jaiden Popowski has him projected for 110 and in his Captaincy options this week - now obviously that is insane, but I still hoped for 80-90 in a soft half back role against Rabble-don.
Currently 1,641 with Smith and Bruhn to come. Scores of 56 (Cook) and 57 (Jagga) to be passed before they start counting. Hoping that I can crack 1,700 and get into the low 17's. At this stage, looks like going Smith over Bont will hurt, but hoping Smith does something crazy against Hawthorn (and at the end of the day, it's a full season game, not a one week with the trade).

I've been around top 1,000 several times over the years but never this early in the season.
