Geelong - as always - playing funny buggers with injuries.

GRYAN Miers will miss Geelong's clash against Port Adelaide on Anzac Day as the Cats continue to consider their options for the forward's knee injury.

Miers missed Geelong's win over the Western Bulldogs due to a knee injury.

The Cats haven't ruled out knee surgery for the forward, as reported by AFL.com.au, but are yet to make a call.

"Following consultation with the club's medical team and specialists, Gryan will be on an individualised program for next couple of weeks as we assess the best path forward for the long term," Geelong executive general manager of football Andrew Mackie said.

I'm going to go without a Geelong player for the rest of the year out of spite - yes, even Bazlenka. F*** them.

For those who care, Fred Rodriguez is set to play WAFL this weekend and would almost certainly debut the week after (or close enough) if all goes well - highly rated, mature age and can accumulate.

Eagles injury list also keeps growing...

Starting to look at the bye rounds Im thinking one of the Sydney lads is the go in the fwd line

Or Adam Treloar....
I hope someone goes the Treloar hail Mary and is rewarded for it.
40 disposals, 10 clearances in the VFL and Bont under a cloud.

I have high hopes for him eventually. Def not mature age though. Same age as Willem Duursma, younger than Josh Lindsay.

Yes my mistake, I assumed he was tearing it up last year a mature ager.

Either way, going to keep an eye on him and prefer him than insert spud senior Eagle here for opportunities in clearly rebuilding seasons.

Na I think he'll be in the WAFL for a while. Pretty sure hes still on limited mins so he isnt playing AFL anytime too soon

Also hes only draftee age, not mature aged (as said above)

Treloar could be a great target this week. In normal circumstances he'd be eased back but with bulldogs injury concerns he might become the main go to guy again.

Not sure I'm ballsy enough to go there though

Fred is a rookie listed 18 year old coming back from a long term injury. I don’t think he is anywhere near the side and not fantasy relevant.
There’s potential to be fantasy relevant this year if not next, he’s highly pedigreed as a junior and a technically sound footballer. Could see him fighting for the opposite hff to Murdock.

I think he is close pending WAFL form. Highly rated and our injuries piling up.

I was wrong about mature age though which would increase his chances.

Hasn't he been playing VFL? That might be enough.

Im considering it

Although caught Bevo on the news tonight saying if hes right he'll play, kind of implying hes still not 100% (maybe on managed mins)

Kind of hoping I misheard or misinterpreted and he was talking about Bont, but it was right after a bunch of footage about Treloar

They have been holding back Treloar for a while, so there is certainly going to be management involved.

(Know this as someone that was silly enough to pick him up fairly high in draft).

I reckon you have to see a score from him before jumping on. He's already priced at 90, so unless he comes out with a 120+ on return, he's going to be affordable for a couple of weeks.

Personally I'm warming towards JHF this week over Trac and Pickett.

I don't know what was up with him in R1 (57) but since then he's gone 87, 81, 97, 126. Thats pretty good for a forward. He has however relied on multiple goals to get these scores (so has Petracca though)

Jeremy Cameron has the biggest ceiling of all the forwards and probably a floor of 80ish considering Geelong are very good, someone pull the trigger :moustache:
