I'd take Briggs as my R2 if I didn't have so many SAINTS and GWS players on the R4 Bye

You could easily max out at 5 to 7 players in one early bye round easily if you have bench coverage.

Eg. GWS and Saints R4
DEF - 2 players
MIDS - 2 Players
RUCKS - 1 Player
FWDS - 2 Players

Worst case you don’t have 2-3 rookies to cover playing. Your team might drop to Best 20 when scoring comes from Best 18. Maybe a 100pt loss in that round which could be made up in future rounds.


The calculation would be points per dollar spent you lose in that round.

If you want a player who has a bye I say get them. Saves a trade down the road.

Also could create a positive differential side.

My thinking exactly ....happy to suffer a bit of pain early, save trades for the backend of the season ....making sure my mid-season bye structure is on-point
