After watching live footy tonight, it was apparent that there was less ruck involvement and stoppages, particularly with the last touch rule which sped up the game significantly. The big guys are gonna have to earn their keep much more in general play.

I completely get the line of thinking that the speed of the game will reduce X’s scoring but I’m struggling to ignore his run of Visentini/Flynn/Pittonet/Blakiston/Fort or Draper early. Plus then he gets an older way more tired version of himself in Nank who he went 150 & 187 v last year.

All in the first 6 rounds.

If after 2 rounds he’s struggling with the speed, guess you can downgrade & bank the money for a rookie upgrade

Got Grundy & English at the moment. ZZ on the pine in defence, Mac on the bench in the rucks. Will be very tempting to dump Grundy, switch the rucks around, and grab the best premo on the bubble for round 2.5

The draw Xerri/Gawn have first 10 rds, I get a VC/C score out of one or both.
Worse scenario, I swap one out and bank the cash.

The low ownership is what got me and can be a POD early on when teams are similar and nailing the captain score for the round.
