I'm not sure there's anyone worth putting at R3, I reckon Mcandrew will end up there. Can't waste a bench spot with a rookie making bugger all. If Mcandrew is R2, reckon White is your beat R3 option.

On the one hand, Gawn is Gawn. No early bye. On the other hand, he ain’t getting any younger, lost his main trio to hit out to, Melbourne potentially playing quicker means less contests and there is the unknown of the new rules.

The new rules should suit someone like TDK but he will be sharing duties with the best second ruck in the comp. I guess we see how he goes today.

I've had Gawn all pre season and just swapped him to TDK this morning. There is $165k difference between them but I think TDK can score much better with Marshall than he did with Pitto last year. He was averaging 120 after the first 8 rounds last year and I think he could do similar this year in a better team.

Im thinking I have to drop Cox and bite the bullet with TDK at R1. Darcy trained the full session the other day.

For me it's about the wider ruck scoring than the individuals themselves.

I'm hoping tonight's game helps me make a decision.

If Cameron or TDK score 130 tonight, my concerns will be put to bed and I'll happily pick Xerri.

If they score 100-110 I'll be concerned about the ruck score ceiling and will be on the fence.

If they score under 100 I'm putting a line through Xerri and going cheaper (not sure what that looks like yet).

After last yr the only thing I am certain of is you must have a DPP at R3. Boyd clogging up R3 reduced player movement horrendously for those who had him. Will prob go with White and just save the cash, maybe Reidy if he's named

Will Reidy or White get many games or just become that player that just sits on your team not playing or generating any cash.

I would rather just have my 3rd Ruck filling a spot and making cash whilst providing cover the first 4 rounds with the bye rounds which McAndrew does well

Fair enough......I've gone White cause I prefer the R3 as a Capts loop and Melb have 9 Sun/Mon games in the 1st batch....
Probably will pass on Reidy and let the other 15 Rooks hopefully make the money.....
