Position 2026 Rucks

Both Pitto and Nank were 100% overscored in that first half. Pitto faded out, I actually thought Nank was decent in the 2nd half, but reckon they corrected slightly and gave less points in the 2nd half. Still only 63 hitouts for the match. The game is definitely more open and has less stoppages.

No doubt the guns will have big scores (especially when we get into Winter and the wet slog fests come), but I am still adamant that the overall ruck scores and ruck score ceiling has dropped.

My goal is Xerri in after his rd12 bye. Hopefully he's $550k.
Xerri for 200 this week against your boy Visentini :)

been dilemerising on rucks too much but like this combo,

gets me 2 rucks through the early byes and can work it out from there,

plus i was able to get an extra rook into the team in rosas into forward and move trac to mids for now in the money juggle , bruhn m7 so at least jag/gryl m8 moving forward

One way of looking at this is that you've chosen TDK over Petracca.

First year rookie RUCK ..... McAndrew will find it hard with the crash & bash of Rucking in the AFL to backup each week

ROB just signed a 3 year Contract ....is in the Leadership Group .....does anyone think he'll be languishing in the SANFL for the majority of the season .....or will McAndrew get managed to get him through his first season of AFL

As a Crows supporters, I haven't given any thought to him as an R2 .....always been a Flex player to cover my Rookie heavy DEF

But what do I know ....I also avoided the Braydon Preuss ride

McAndrew been AFL listed since 2021 - I think he will be fine with the physicality.

My SC brethren, please help me. I'd love as many opinions as possible. I have until 1:10PM tomorrow to make a decision.

The situation:

Option 1 - Trade Visentini to White, bank $200k, take McAndrew's 88, he becomes my R2

Option 2 - Hold this week, re-assess over the next couple of weeks, I can look at Zako/Edwards in rd3, potentially rotate Visentini/McAndrew at R2

I thought McAndrew looked really good and underscored slightly. I think everyone would be amazed if ROB comes back in so I would swap Visenti > White and bank the cash. It's best 18 the next 3 weeks anyway if McAndrew was dropped but I very much doubt it.

I hate carrying a floating donut in RD1 - we'll have dead rookies soon enough

The question should be what do you expect from Visentini?
I'm expecting 80+ avg for a number #1 ruck for Port, so to me that's value - unless you have some other use for that money, I would stick with Visentini

yeah but you wouldn't want to hold onto them.. the donuts role is to lock in a vc score. not to make money. yes, you're one asset down. but its one less position to worry about trading.

if you get a dead rook (eventually) youre not gonna be thankful for a loop finally. you'll be looking to downgrade to the next hot shot rookie.

makes sense. we thought the same for blakiston. number #1 ruck SHOULD net an 80avg. but sometimes... it just doesn't.

theres always a few rucks every year who struggle to average 70. and blakiston will be one of them, question is if visentini will too..

stevebbb lock in mcandrew mate. bank the cash, and fix up any shite picks after lockout.

Trade white in. The reasons mentioned so far are valid, but the main reason is, Visentini is a POD that I own, so SC lore means that he'll shit the bed as long as he's in my team.

But seriously, your lowest score drops out thanks to flex. What's your 2nd lowest score? That's what McA will be replacing, so if it's 65, you're making this move to collect 23 points.

Considering same thing, but the weeks where McA costs 60 points or more is too bothering, even with the cash used elsewhere

How many AFL games has he played in that time? 🤔

2 but it’s beside the point - he’s got 5 pre seasons at AFL into a really mature body. A lot different to CDT or English in his first year for example. McAndrew is a man mountain, it seems disingenuous to call him a “first year rookie ruck”

He gave Cameron a bath in the CBA's. Cameron is a good ruck who is usually good at neutralising his opponent.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks, whether oppositions just try to shark his taps rather than compete, if he continues to be so dominant.

Yep McAndrew was outstanding, and the supply he gave the mids at CBAs was first class. Going nowhere any time soon.

He was certainly very good at CBA. 9 HTA’s which is over half his points.

If they dry up, where does his scoring come from would be my concern as an R2 owner. I have him at flex. Hope he goes well.

Tough to back up week in week out as an AFL ruck.
