I like the look of the list.
Experience everywhere. A contending list.
Plus
Lots of youth with experience, X factor, ceiling, inside mid and key position

Experience IN
Curnow - we brought in the best available KPF.
Rosas - Experienced small forward.
Serong - in form experienced KPD
Cootee - non AFL experienced small forward/mid.

18 yo Draftees IN
Kyle - Big Mid
Phillipou - Mid
King - Tall Mid/KPF
Hetherton - KPF
Chamberlain - KPF

Couldn't agree more Rusty.
Better balanced from almost every perspective. Apart from paying a king's ransom for Curnow we have gotten more depth into defence and midfield amazingly cheaply. Real Moneyball stuff! And all highly competitive with a lot of potential. A better spread of age as well.
It's even more impressive is when you look at what is likely to happen in terms of list turnover at the end of 2026 and what the possibilities are.

I could not agree more. I love the look of this list.
There is a lot of inherent growth. And they will grow together.
More importantly we have an injection of players ready to contribute and win a premiership in 2026.

Main list players with contract ending 2026
Adams
Rampe
Lloyd
Cunningham
Bice
McInerney
Jordon
Hetherton
Chamberlain

Who is going out of the side at the end of 2026.
We need to have 3 spots available before the draft according to AFL rules I think.
Adams
Rampe
Lloyd?
Cunningham? No

It is difficult I agree.

Hamling as well I think but not Jordon according to A26P.
I would think Adams, Rampe and Hamling should almost certainly retire. That would give 2 ND spots.
Lloyd and Cunningham probably not but Harry to the rookie list would free up another spot. Assuming neither falls off a cliff.
So three is probably easy.
Beyond that gets much harder.

Rampe and Lloyd already rookies. My bad.
Adams. 1
Cunningham to rookie. 2
Next is hard.

It's looking great rustycrate ! But I need to find my glasses in order to read it.

A few comments:

* I love the look of the Opening Round insert

* a couple of the columns below that (the middle column under 'AFL List Rules' and the column with all the zeros in it under 'Sydney List spots' seem redundant

* I love being able to see our future picks

* I like being able to see our whole 2026 fixture at a glance

* I'd like it to say the day as at average age and matches played is true for (is it automatically updated to the day one is reading?)

* we don't have a sub any more so Corey isn't the sub.

* Your selected team includes a LOT of bold selections (no Amartey, Serong, Rosas or Cleary as well as omitting Rampe and Lloyd)

* Our reserves team next year if uninjured and as you have selected will include over 1000 AFL games experience!

Thanks for the feedback. I love constructive feedback anytime. Over the years many people have given me feedback that has transformed the list spreadsheet.

I only have a lap top at home. But I bought a larger screen ($150) a few years ago and plugged it into my laptap. The larger screen is unreal. I watch movies from my laptop, I watch KAYO from my laptop. If you look at the list on the bigger screen it is unreal.
BTW if you install Brave browser like me(free), you can watch YouTube movies for free ad free. There are no ads for anything you browse on the internet.

I don't know how this took me two years to implement. Just stick the picture of the week in type of thing.

This column will activate automatically when we have retirements/delistings etc. So even during season if we have a long term injury I will place that player on the long term injury list and automatically a spot will open up in Spots. Also at the end of the year when we delist/retire etc players, these spots will automatically populate. It will autofill on its own and show the spots we have available.

* I love being able to see our future picks
Thanks. Me too. This has been the first year we have traded 2 years in advance so I knew I had to change the look of this part of the spreadsheet.

* I like being able to see our whole 2026 fixture at a glance
Me too. Also seeing where our byes are.

* I'd like it to say the day as at average age and matches played is true for (is it automatically updated to the day one is reading?)
The average age is automatically changed every day for both Best 23 and Depth. The formula calculates it every day.
The matches played and average matches. I add 1 match manually each week to the best 23 after the match. All the rest is calulated automatically in the formulas.

* we don't have a sub any more so Corey isn't the sub.
I actually changed that last week by just deleted the word Sub and replaced it with 23. I still don't know how the squads will be announced by the AFL each week so this may change.

* Your selected team includes a LOT of bold selections (no Amartey, Serong, Rosas or Cleary as well as omitting Rampe and Lloyd)
I have kept the last team selected for the last week of the year. I do this every year.
If a player from the team retires/delisted/traded whatever, I replace that player.
Only Hayward left so I replace Hayward with Curnow.

I cannot remotely guess what our Round 1 side would be so I leave the selected team of the last round of the previous year in place.

* Our reserves team next year if uninjured and as you have selected will include over 1000 AFL games experience!
I did not select the Best 23. As I said the Swans selectors selected the team for the last round this year.

Thanks for the feedback. Loved it. Great to know your thoughts.

Keep the feedback coming.

A couple of things re size of the spreadsheet"

1. If you double click on the spreadsheet in the thread it will expand to fit your screen.
2. CTRL + increases the size of everything on your screen too. CTRL - decreases it.

Hope that helps.

Just going through height changes from footywire. I have not done this for a few years. I will attempt to do this yearly.

Amartey shrumk by 2cm 197cm to 195cm. Too much weight training I guess.
Cleary up 2cm 180cm to 182cm
Cootee up 1cm to 179cm
Gulden shrunk by 1cm to 175cm. He will be faster as a result.
King up 1cm to 192cm.
McCartin up 1cm to 194cm.
Logan drops 1cm to 195cm.
McInerney up 1cm to 189cm. It is unreal to have a mid this tall.
Mills grows taller as a captain. Up 1cm. 188cm.
Roberts up 1cm to 184cm.
Rowbottom up 2cm to 186cm.
Sheldrick drops 1cm to 178cm.
Wicks up 1cm to 181cm.
