Love that we’ve got a death ride again, but still feel we didn’t quite get value for Ryan here.

I guess it's our prerogative as it's our board, but lots of undervaluing Starc and overvaluing Ryan the last few weeks.

Liam still links up well and is a great field kick, but he's largely lost his leap as a point of difference. Getting close to 30. His set shots (outside of social media) aren't reliable. He's had injury concerns. Having said that, he's still very fun to watch and will be a good player in a functioning side.

I think the deal is very fair.

A new environment might give Liam a shot in the veins too. I hope he winds back the clock a bit when they aren't playing us.

I have nothing against the saints. Spent some time in St kilda years ago amongst the backpackers, bars and street whores but really cant stand RTB so hoping this massive hail mary doesn't pay off

What you should remember is that if we had got Starc for nothing then that would have diluted the compo for Oscar, we wouldn't have got pick 2 which we can split for 2 picks. Look at Essendon they got a pick in the 20's for Draper who is going to the lions and is only1yr older than Oscar and his contract is one year shorter.

Very happy with this death ride. I don’t see a lot of cohesion in this St Kilda squad and think things could fall apart quickly.

They should be better than: us, Tigers, North, Essendon and Carlton. Has us looking at pick 24-29 in a strong draft next year. Could be an excellent pick or capital to match a bid on Shanahan or Harper Banfield?

This trade should work out better than the Hawks future last time out

I think Melbourne could be bottom 2 next year.
