Not sure I’d do a straight swap. Love Rambo too much.If I was Port, I’d be asking for McCreery as part of the package.
They'll want a shit load more than beauNot sure I’d do a straight swap. Love Rambo too much.

I think we'll try and get a couple of players, especially with pendles and sides, and howe coming to the end.Add at least a Top 10 Pick and even more
George wardlaw and Jed Walter who would be great gets who you might get slightly lower
I can see Nick getting one- perhaps an extension on his current one to take it to 10 years with a lot of money going to him in 2028.I'm reading that 10 years at 20million are being suggested as likely.
That's crazy.
I would hope Collingwood has learned its lesson on super long contracts.
No player is worth the risk of a 10 year contract.
And Lippa! If I was Port, I’d be asking for McCreery as part of the package.
I'm not sure I can see Nick still playing in 10 years time.I can see Nick getting one- perhaps an extension on his current one to take it to 10 years with a lot of money going to him in 2028.
My guess is that his internal motivation is to have the best career he can possibly have and shoot for GOAT status.I'm not sure I can see Nick still playing in 10 years time.
He has so many other opportunities, the world is pretty much his oyster.
and Hills now on a massive contract and doesnt even show up.It is believable that we have plenty of cap space available given Grundy and Treloar are off the books, and we essentially lost Mihocek and replaced him with Buller.
But I can't believe how the media waffle on expecting us to believe that no one else on our list has taken that money. Like Maynard would be earning more this year than last year, it'd be safe to say he's getting some of that Grundy money. Houston getting Treloar money.
Players get back ended etc. around these contracts all of the time...
What else besides Butters are they going to part with?If I was Port, I’d be asking for McCreery as part of the package.
I think Hodge is wasting his smarts being a Footy commentator.Luke Hodge saying if you are asking for 2M, you're not chasing a flag.

Him and Trump are inspirations, i feel dirty now,I think it's inspiring. Luke Hodge getting paid to communicate his ideas is evidence that we all could become anything regardless of our talents.
Him and Trump are inspirations, i feel dirty now,
GC’s cap would be fairly stretched already you’d imagine, and they have to actually have the room to match a deal.
Not sure how PA’s cap looks, but matching a $2m+ deal is going to be a tough task for any club.
I think our best model to look toward is what we did at the end of the 2022 season. Thicken the soup with 2-3 senior players that we can buy low, and still hold onto our first pick and take that to the draft.
Of the free agents, I’d be keen on:
All of the above are likely to be cheap options.
- Mitch Lewis
- Sam Switkowski
- Sam Sturt
- Nick Vlastuin (especially if Howe retires)
- Joel Amartey (if our 2nd ruck becomes a big issue this season)
For some who are out of contract, and could be a buy low:
- Archie Perkins
- Jake Rogers
Then they’re players like
George wardlaw and Jed Walter who would be great gets who you might get slightly lower
Hodge hasn't been keeping up to date with increases to the TPP.Luke Hodge saying if you are asking for 2M, you're not chasing a flag.
He’s an unrestricted free agentVlastuin is elite. I wonder what they'd realistically ask for him...
