The new rules are even more reason why they will match. For one it costs more to match. And secondly compo is slated to start at pick 9.

If i'm to entertain the idea I feel the biggest reason would be our lack of development and knowing what's ahead for the rest of his career if the team doesn't successfully refresh for another real tilt.

I don't really take him as the kind of player to stick around just because of the name. He'd have to be painfully aware of his own potential and how that slots into the right team regardless of which club it is.

The bolded. But if McClure is to be believed based on his article last week there appears to be some level of grumpiness from Nick towards Fly and how he's utilised. Particularly with Fly revealing the two of them had a chat about how they can best support him.

It was a little disappointing to draw parallels between McClure saying last week in his article that Daicos was frustrated in moves last season to limit his impact around the contest - and then the very next game Daicos is told to hold his line on the wing as we get belted in the middle.

I like Checkers, but as much as he was a warrior for us, there were times over the last couple of years where he could have iced games for us, but missed easy shots on goal that ended up leading to a loss.

Even if we had him this year, he wouldn’t be offering much more than what we have already got over the season and people will still be asking for West to come in.

So you have Nick leaving that would get us a minimum of 3 top 10 picks and a player. With him leaving and Hill being sacked we will have 3m plus in the cap but we won’t land anyone.

Remember before the draft how he was going to not nominate FS as they said he liked the Gold Coast lifestyle and his mates from school there. It’s all BS
