The carry on from some about losing Miocheck is laughable.

Hawks moved on Mitchell, Hodge, Birchall etc when they all had more to offer and now they are in contention again.

You cannot just let every player play until the end. It doesn’t work. He isn’t the difference between a flag or not. There was no point giving him a new contract.

Agree. We all loved Checkers, but it was time to move some of our older players on & he had a better offer from the Dees.

It's no different to what most clubs do each year when regenerating their list.

I wouldn’t force him out the door, but if the option was ever there in his mind, I’d encourage it. Can see the end of his career being more Taylor Adams than Jamie Elliott.

Not to mention the craziness of judging whether or not we were correct not to offer a multi year deal to a banged up 33 year old by how he's gone in his first month with his new club.

Checkers will keep it going. But our strategy is pretty clear - save the salary cap to renew the list with, rather than the short term re-signing of veterans. We don't offer them big money. He would have had to take way less to play for us than Dees. Elliott was coming off a huge year, so we took the hit on him, but couldn't do both without impinging heavily on our strategy.

Agree. We need to avoid third option forwards and defenders in the hope they can become a first or second option.

Because he is on the Injury List a fair bit

I don’t think they’ll be below 300k.
I would think it’s closer between 300-400k.

I’d be shocked if North didn’t want to keep him. Complements Sheezel well, even if he has had injury issues.
