My view is if they're in the best team you keep them without a hesitation. But if not you move them on. I think that's what we'll do and are doing. Pendles Sidey and Howe are just freaks. Howe is the interesting one. It's only injuries or him deciding to retire that I think will finish him.

Tim kicked 32 goals last season, he also assisted who knows how many. He's not a selfish player.
If he can kick 30+ this year then I think he's a chance.

I'd probably keep him over McStay but he'll have to have a bloody good year. Our depth players need to be the young guys, not the old ones.

When older players become depth and get overtaken like WHE, Mitchell, Markov, it's time to move them on. Its clear this is Howe's final year. I think that was pretty obvious when he re-signed for one more year (with the chance to go into coaching after that)
I think Sidey is the only one of the trio that'll go on into 2027

With Membrey, it'll depend if he gets overtaken by one of the youngsters.

And currently he is a long way from being over taken by the youngsters
But it is a long season

For me it depends on how much they are on.
Would you rather Howe as depth to come in due to an injury or a Charlie Dean/ Jack Magden?

If he's still best 23 at the end of the year, he'll get renewed - why would you weaken your team? But if he's dropped out of the team, I wouldn't like his chances of an extension.

Seems like they just can't be bothered, I think they are taking their fans for granted. I would think there is a fair percentage of members that don't live in Melbourne and can't get to games.

I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the jumper presentations. It used to be free but this year it costs $495 dollars

Yeah they used to do it after the intraclub. I hadn't even heard when they were doing it this year and assume its privately.
