This is the quote from McClure's article:

Sources say he was unhappy at times with how he was utilised on the field by coach Craig McRae, particularly when deployed in roles that limited his influence around the contest.
Well if Sam McClure’s reliable sources say so…

I have also heard in multiple interviews with Naicos that he loves Fly. So we're saying he's unhappy or he loves Fly?

Nick is signed until the end of 2029 (another four years), so why is everyone panicking? A lot can change in two or three years.

We’ve competed in three of the four years since he was drafted. He played a half-back role for the first 18 months or so, which helped his development, and since then he’s been a full-time mid.

What part of his role could he possibly be frustrated with?

Unfortunately we have a lot of fans who fall for the media bait

Pies are in for some real pain coming up.

Absolutely no way King, Butters or Humphrey pick us based on what's available and the list.

When there's smoke there's fire with Nick.

Fly I'm not sure is the coach to take us through a rebuild.
Before the adel game you winged about fly apparently dropping two kids who played anyway.

After the Adelaide game you winged about how shit one of those kids Allan was and also how bad another long is

Port have already said that they will match all offers for butters which makes it impossible for us. GC have only offered king 2 years and they won't match due to salary cap. King is a much more realistic chance.
The Butters one is strange. All the rumours, but no one set up last year to be in a position to trade him in. It was Port who went hardest to add future capital, but that's for academy picks - same with Blues and their future picks for Curnow. Hawks were smart and added a couple of second rounders during the draft. They'd have to do something massive in terms of trading out though to get into Butters territory.

I think it's likely no one can get a deal done and he'll re-sign a huge contract with Port for two years to take him to unrestricted - unless he's willing to go to one of the cellar dwelling Vic teams.

Can't you see that it's Allan's and Long's fault?

If they played better, we wouldn't whinge. Not sure why people struggle to understand this.

“Sources”? You know a random post on BF meets the definition of a source?

You were bagging the state of today’s journalism recently, weren’t you? Yet you quote that quote? Cmon

I thought you asked me a while back to stop engaging with you? Does it not go both ways? 🤔

No chance at Rowston or Gothard IMO

Bramble, McNeill, Pink, Gardner are average/below average players and should steer clear of.

Also isn't Tsatas terrible by foot?

I agree, i can't see anyone satisfying Port, if he wants to go to the Dogs (or any team in Victoria), picks won't get the job done, if they give them the next 3 years first rounders, (i'm unsure what picks Doggies have atm), they would be playing finals, they may even snag another flag, with the compromised draft/Tassie, those picks could end up in the 20's. I'd say they would want a player like Ed Richards as well as picks. But i could see Port digging their heels in and Butters would just stay at Port.

I like the logic that “when there’s smoke there’s fire” with Nick, but apparently nothing to see with anyone we’re apparently hunting despite them actually being gettable within the foreseeable future

No one's panicking, just discussing a potential scenario. I agree it's pretty hard to pry him out of the club anytime soon given his value, but what's being brought up is worth the discussion because it's interesting at the very least. The same way we'd talk about Butters or anyone else at that calibre.
