Not much down back even had to play Teakle down back for some weird Reason

I think De Bolfo showed quite a bit last year at FB, if he impresses again this season, he might be worth a mid season spot if we have one.

Butts is a free agent, but I think he will hold his spot and thus not be an easy get. Butts as the anchor and Keane and Worrell to do their thing looks great for them. So Murray might become the one who is gettable, but would require a trade.

Butts is a no-brainer for us, is normally 4th in line at Adelaide but would instantly be our 2nd best defender (number 1 stopper).

There will be competition. Dogs had a crack last year and he was willing to go. He'll leave if he can't hold his spot. I think he will though and Murray will become the more gettable one.

It’s a tough position to have adequate cover in. You either have a developing kid who’s not quite ready or a ready made KPD who’s playing VFL and then likely to attract offers from other clubs…

as a back up plan I’d still be looking at KPF’s with physical attributes that can’t quite make it as KPf’s. We have Frampton, Moore , Howe and potentially reef who all meet that mould somewhat

If not Butts, I would hope we look at a few others, even if they are flawed, like Aliir (old), Khamis (bit of a tweener) or Pink (not very good).

I've never paid any attention to him, yet I suspect you deserve a thread ban for bringing up Toby Pink.

I thought he had potential but he was slow, lacked mobility and poor below his knees against GWS. He’d need to improve greatly for a MSD spot IMO. Teakle was far better.

If that doesnt happen (protected picks) then i doubt they match.

Pick 3 is better for them then 3 x pick 14's, especually this year when they need to match a potential pick 1 bid on dougie cochrane (and under new rules can only do it with 2 picks).

After underinvesting in the draft for a decade cant help but feel that we missed a trick not loading up on mid-range picks in the 2024 draft.

Players like Shanahan (amazing today) and Whitlock were available in the 30's.

Even without a 1st round pick, could of essentiall got 3-4 good kp players.

In saying that, very happy with West (and Cochrane) for the picks we got them at.
