From what I’ve seen there’s no second effort in him. It’s a steep price for a one and done player. It’s a lot of pressure for a 21yo, IMO.

Just so you know, that's not a fair price for Walter.

Leverage is everything in trade. The suns don't have any when it comes to Walter.

Teams can strong arm the suns during the trade period.

What definitely won't happen is teams paying 2 first rounders.

So if a team wants to offer second rounder over the course of 3 years or 1 first and some seconds will be in a strong position , unless there are clubs who are dumb enough to offer multiple firsts.

He's definitely a more impressive athlete than Schache, but I have my question marks over him

Richmond continued the chase for Adam Treloar when it was over, it was stalker like and creepy as f*ck. Zac has made his decision and we won't be wasting our time like a disturbed ex who has been told it's over and keeps hanging around.

He's a stud and just getting started, you"re correct on the price, it's a first round pick plus, can be had for some mediocre later selections apparently and I can't wait for the 'bundle' of players we can offer, that's just around the corner!

Jamie Elliott’s injury couldn’t have come at a worse time for Collingwood.

Even though this has statistically been one of his weaker seasons, after a slow start he was finally finding form and had become our only genuine avenue to goal with 17 majors. In a forward line that’s struggled all year to generate scores, losing the one player capable of creating something out of nothing is massive.

The bigger issue is the lack of support around him.

Buller was recruited as a key forward/relief ruck, but through six games his impact has been minimal:
• 0.5 goals per game
• 1.6 shots at goal at 37% accuracy
• 0.5 contested marks
• 1.4 marks inside 50
• 0.9 tackles inside 50
• 1.8 hitouts

The numbers are hard to ignore. He’s not competing strongly aerially, not applying enough pressure, and not impacting contests consistently enough.

Membrey hasn’t provided stability either. Less than three shots a game at 51% accuracy isn’t enough from an experienced forward in a side already struggling to score.

The one real positive has been Daniel McStay

He’s already matched last season’s goal tally and is averaging 1.7 goals a game at 68% accuracy compared to 51% last year. He’s not dominating games, but he gives the forward line structure and reliability because he’s at least converting his chances.

That’s really been the story of our forward line all season: not enough consistent contributors, and now with Elliott out long-term, the lack of genuine dangerous forwards is impossible to ignore.

The biggest question is whether the problem is poor midfield connection, poor leading patterns, lack of movement, or simply the quality of the forwards themselves. Realistically, it’s probably all four.

Too many entries are slow, predictable bombs that let defenders set up easily, but the forwards also aren’t creating enough separation, repeat leads, or competing hard enough when delivery isn’t perfect.

That’s why Elliott became so important despite this being a down year statistically — he was the only forward consistently creating scores out of nothing.

McStay gives structure, but isn’t a dominant contested marker. Membrey struggles for involvement. Buller’s impact has been minimal. West only 3 games into his career, and now with Elliott injured, the cracks in this forward line are fully exposed.

One thing is for sure our need to land a key forward has become more critical. We cannot afford to recruit another forward who struggles to get their hands on the ball, has issues creating enough separation, competing hard enough when delivery isn’t perfect or has no second effort in them. We have enough of them already

I’m not making predications on anything. What a bizarre thing to say.

As I’ve told you many times forums are generally a town hall of opinions. If people post something other than opinion they know to be true, they generally make it quite clear I have inside info. And make some kind of statement as to its credibility or other caveats. As I’ve done quite a few times before.

Unlike you who pretends everything he says is inside info or the truth. Particularly around trade and the draft (which IMO you know nothing about).
