IF Jed Walter decides to move it won't be for a bundle of second round picks, and when that doesn't happen you can then admit defeat, will bookmark for future reference.
A underwhelming draftee has their most value on draft night.

Walter would be a pick in the early 20s, maybe high teens at most. An out of contract draftee is not going from pick 2 to multiple firsts two years later under any circumstance without showing anything of substance

Don't go policing people on how to voice their opinions. If you don't like it , you either disagree politely or just ignore.

Don't have to become a condescending ass and drag it out.

No one here is the wiser about how these things play out, but it won't stop us from speculating on an online public forum for fans.

So get off your high horse and move on.
That ship sailed long ago

Terrible news for Jamie, last thing we needed and more importantly for him.
He'll be back.
JDG needs to play the Jamie role.

You’d have to ask the question about Greene now Jamie has gone down. Straight into his general fwd role.
Jeez that'd be some pivot. Both guns, but going from a universally liked and respected player to one of the biggest villains in footy. I'd love to get Toby down. Imagine if Elliott teamed up with him in the back half of 2027

I highly doubt he be back as it's a 12 Month Injury and wrong side of 30

He’s come back from pretty bad and bizarre things before. Wasn’t his foot falling off 2 years ago?

He be 34 so be up against it.

Might come back next year for a Farewell Game

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if target players with a lot of speed .

We are such a slow side who are incredibly vulnerable when defending large space.

I predict we go for 1 ruck and 2 speedsters.

Ruck on 18 month contract, the other 2 on 6 month contracts.

I would be super cautious on Greene and lean towards no. I didn’t watch the Giants game today but from all accounts that third quarter is an outlier.

In previous games Greene to me seems to have slowed down. He’s lost a yard of pace and he didn’t that many to begin with and is more hesitant with the ball (eg anecdotally seems to get caught HTB more frequently).

In our team that’s going to compound problems we can’t afford to worsen. We need speed. For the Cats it makes total sense. You can afford this version of Greene if you have speedsters like Holmes and Smith around him, let alone Mannagh, Humpries and others. Same deal with Ginnivan at Hawthorn.

For that half forward role we need pace or at least dynamism / explosiveness. Unless someone can guarantee the 2023 version of Bobby is coming back for the next 5 years.

And that’s not judging the age of the player on paper. Neale, I’m a 100% emphatic yes.

I mentioned a few weeks ago we should be all over Sam Marshall from Brisbane, will be out of contract at seasons end, pick 25 in the ‘super draft’ a couple of years ago. Has the potential of an elite mid, thought he was one of Brisbane’s best today.

Gettable has mentioned he’s highly likely to come back to Victoria after this season.
