Opinion 2026 wish list

1. Day, Dear & Lewis be fit and firing.
2. Watson to really announce himself with 40+ goals.
3. Sic get his mojo back.
4. Barrass to take more marks like he did when always playing us.
5. Weddle to continue on Wing/drifting forward (was enormous against Adel & GWS).
6. Croc finally explode and be consistent (has all the tools).
7. More midfield rotations especially to stop momentum swings (Watson, Moore, Croc, Weddle(?) ) - Including Chol in the ruck more!
8. Newk to have support so he’s not sat on all the time.
9. Mass to recapture 24 form (with Weddle being a big wing threat, you can’t tag both).
10. Gunston to have a fairytale ending with a 4th flag.

Bonus: Zach Bailey/Butters FA at end of year.

Croc has genuine speed. Maybe not play him as a true inside mid but around stoppages have him be the receiver so that he can take off with the ball. One thing about him is understated is taht he uses the ball well, not a messy ball handler at all.
Btw, check his numbers versus Bailey Humphrey? Not too dissimilar.
Weddle to be the best in between the arcs player in the comp which will be huge for our ball movement.
Will Day to play more than 20 games and goes AA.
Lewis and Dear play every game and are our highest scorers.
Mackenzie, Butler, Ward and Huss to improve to the point where we have inside mids coming out of our arses.

These are Premiership players for us off the rookie list, Seeing we use the National draft picks to trade with, to bring players in we should be using the rookie draft to bring more kids in, we are very good at picking players that are are low in the draft with Moore, Lewis, Morrison etc.
