Agree, AAMI Park should be used at least for a couple of non Wallaby or AB pool matches. MCG a couple of ro16 matches and a QF would be my guess.Venues sorted. Last minute deal for Melbourne.
Ground TBC, the MCG is too big for pool games IMHO. Have to wait and see.
It's shame there are no one off games in smaller markets like in 2003. The game in Launceston was awesome.
Locally here in Canberra ACT government didn't want any games. Real shame. They don't want to be involved in major sporting comps. Nil 22 T20 WC games, nil 23 WWC games. The stadium doesn't help as well.
Haven't had the Wallabies in ages either.

As for Canberra, the stadium situation is a joke. Not just for Rugby but all rectangle sports, all three codes would benefit immensely from a new civic stadium that would have an Adelaide Oval equivalent effect on crowds and ensures Canberra gets regular major events.
Definitely mate. Re. the buses taking the Lions fans to Bruce that sums it the absurdity of the current set up perfectly. The best Canberra Stadium experience this year was the Lions Brumbies game. The traffic was terrible, like any event over 15k. Tour buses with Lions fans had to stop of the side of the highway next to the ground, so the fans could walk through the mud and bush to make the game on time.
You have this growing and developing city with a food and bar scene, transport, hotels, etc along with the National Triangle. Don't get why you wouldn't want to show that off. /rant.
