this was his VFL year playing in the midfield after having played as a small forward previously.

from what I saw at AFL level his decision making was pretty poor.

think he came to the game quite late. Age 14 or 15 or something.

speed his main strength.

Mabior Chol next? 👀

Isnt it great the Richmond and Melbourne premierships with players from our side, with May leaving at least we got pics six which turned into Ben King so you would have to say at this stage that was a win however with Prestia we got pic six and selected scrimshaw enough said

Lets hope history doesn't repeat

You win some you lose some

The only thing I can say is the Scrimsook pick happened before the King pick and looks as though we've learned from that error (Might even have a new list manager since then?)

Any news out there or is that us done for this trade period. In Chol out Brodie.

This draft/trade period was never going to be massive. Brodie off the books is a good deal, MacPherson may still leave, but seems like a long shot now.

Chol fills a big hole in our team. Draft a young key position back, with a bunch of future picks coming up in 2022 where we have a lot more OOC and we are set up nicely.

Any other year we would have picks to burn which we could of used towards Hawks fire sale. It would appear the Hawks would be wiling to contribute to a fair sum of the players salary providing they are compensated with picks. Is it just me feeling that we might of missed an opportunity to introduce some quality player or players that could of helped with the teams development.

We are done for the trade period. Only thing left to do after the trade period is to announce 3 delistings from the main list back to rookie list. This is for pick 3 and 2 academy selections.

This will mean that we have 3 main list spots and 1 rookie spot heading into the draft.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we still offloaded pick 3
you can trade picks on the day of the draft though. There's no real value in doing pick swaps at the trade deadline unless it's to help you land a player.

Don't want to end up in another Oliver situation where they guy we want at 3 is expected to be there at 8/9/10 and then has an unreal combine and shoots into top 3 contention.

So let me get this straight.. we swapped Brodie and 19 for future picks..
But what happens to Brodie’s 500k salary for 2022
Sits there collecting 1% interest for 12months
Can use it on re-signing some of the young guys. Or move other salaries forward to 2022 to help with the next year.

Think it's an astute move for a player and pick that aren't needed.
