How often do 2nd year players win it?
Agree. I feel like he can draw his opponents into the contest and if we were a good team it would open it up for his team mates but they generally aren’t there.80% of the time has no one to kick to.
In a good side he'd be an offensive defensive weapon in transition

Yep. I can understand being enamoured with him because he's getting so much of the ball as such a young player, but he is definitely shanking his fair share as well. The first part is true but he does shank alot of easy kicks.
Tidy that up and put the better pieces up the field for him and he will be fine.
I love him to bits but I doubt he is the distributer off the backline moving forward. His job is to win contests, draw defenders and dish off to Johnson and hopefully Lindsey.
Did a breakdown on the top 5 prospects, interesting reading
Green equals leading in Rising Star Calculations
Blue equals second in rising star calculations
Purple equals third in rising star caluclations
Interestingly, there is one serious outlier and that is Murphy Reid's Goal Assist leaves him 12th in the whole league. Impressive feat.
Interestingly, I am a big advocate of Supercoach scores being a decent indicator of a players influence on games, it takes a +/- effect on a disposal or effort in game.
Anyways, have at it. I dont think it's as clear cut as many want it to be

GOATED AT CLANGERS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPosted this on the main board, Archie really is being criminally under rated
Yep. Let's try and break him too.Play him in the guts this week - why not
Still needs to take the first kicking option, our ball movement could be better from down back if alot of the defenders pulled the trigger on that easy short pass
Can’t remember who it was but some prominent commentator made an argument for him during the week, said should be ahead of Ashcroft and very close to other twoHow he is not in RS conversations is beyond me, stacks up against all of Curtin, Ashcroft and Reid.

I'd be interested to see it. He doesn't panic and seems to create time and space, much like Pendles does. Did he play in the guts at all as a under-ager?He looks like he could play midfield if needed, too.
He's been the most consistent for mine but he's not a big name because of his draft range and probably doesn't do the flashy things. He has to win the rising star. He has had four or five games now where he has been our best or close to our best player.
