C Jones has been our most important player for around 3 years now, extremely underated for along time. Very good in the air against smaller opponents, and too smart for the dumb athletes in the competition, eg Campbell Brown and Adam Mcphee. Has to be a definate All Australian. As for being a selfish player i dont know where that comes from. He is a forward who should have a shot when under pressure in forward 50
Mike Sheahan said on the couch last night that Jones would be an All Australian HHF'er at this stage. He wasn't even talking about North at the time either.

Noticed that too - hope he is right.
I like how at the start of the show Healy starts talking through the top 8 of the ladder; starts of with the Cats how they had a good win goes on for about 30 seconds then "Kangaroos are 2nd" "and what a great win by the Eagles on the weekend are they back?"

It took Sheenan jumping in to say yeh great game by the Roos for Healy to backtrack to talk about our game.

I like how someone pointed out yesterday on here how they always say with 30 secs to go "and it would be remiss of us to not talk about the Kangas..."

Luckily Boomer was there last night and we got a good showing. Was almost about to throw my remote when I heard "And is it a distraction for the players... (me thinking it would be GC talk)... that Dean Laidley hasn't re-signed for next year?"

No Didak??? what's going on Mike?? :D Is Mike teasing??? And why isn't Hamish being talked up as #1 RUCK....??? Is Cox having a better season?? pffft! Not much discussion of AA candidates as they are probably to embarrasssed to mention a few too many North players...

From memory, they asked Mike about whether Steve Johnson would make the AA team. And Mike said right now, he would be on a HFF with Corey Jones. Its not like they were talking about other guys like ruckmen though.

And where does Boomer slip in?? If G Ablett jnr is first rover, is Boomer a FP, HHF or winger?? Sometimes these selectors just toss names in positions that make NO SENSE. Fricken Clowns.

They were talking up Pendlebury early in the year like he was scorching the opposition....how things have changed... I'd rather Selwood absorb all the WHOO-HA in the lead up to the finals while JWS just going along under the radar without the fuss. It's just annoying that these media ppl don't have a fricken clue why we're 2nd. They are completely "speechless"...probably the most under-the-radar performance from any team in AFL history.

Im surprised that people here are still surprised about the lack of recognition our boys as a group or individuals get. Its just a popularity contest, not a true reflection of the ability or impact of a team/player.

I'd prefer it if we stayed underated all year because being underated is our winning formula ... I'd hate to say it but the moment we are hot favourites or start being highly rated as premiership contenders is probably the moment we will start going down hill ... You may disagree but that is the way i feel it will go

Nice work, Urmoe. You even got CJ right up there in front.

Going by the scarf, I'd say stiffness wouldn't be so much of a problem, but rather George Costanza's patented "Hamptons' Shrinkage".

Btw, is that Drew re-enacting Michael Jackson's "Thriller" out the back there ??
