Haven't watched the vfl, but would love to see him keep his feet and have picked up a yard of pace...from somewhere.

Was brought in to bring the ball to ground and limit his opponent to go up third man up on Lynch, he performed that role in the first quarter and after that the ball didn't come inside 50. Question his selection instead of say Chol who could have played a relief ruck role but their are a lot of guys out there who aren't showing the required intent and that you cannot say of Townsend.

Under utilized...ought to have been played in the guts when we were being hammered in the 2 and 3rd Qs...
He's a rough and tumble guy and ought to have been in the action and soften up a few oppo bodies...that's what he does well...came on in the last Q and made a presence...well done Towner!

Thanks for 2017 towner hit a purple patch at the right time and will always be a premiership hero but such a limited footballer, finish the year in the reserves then see you again in 8 years at the premiership reunion
