I expect he will return to Casey to make way for Petty, because Goodwin. Don’t think we have assisted his development, if there was any to assist , at all .

The annoying thing is, outside of Johnson, he's our number 1 key forward at Casey for tackles and tackles inside 50. Just seemed lost and confused at AFL level. He's got it in him, he does it at VFL level, but a bit of a mental hurdle there for him at AFL level IMO. Some players never overcome that so who knows.

Reckon the Hawks could do with a player like Fritsch next year - Swap him for Lewis?

Definitely worse ideas out there. Hawks have several very good players sitting in reserves. Id get rid of Fritta for a bag of chips atm. So to get a Lewis or Dear would be a bonus.

I remember Jefferson got a 7 goal haul in his draft year that got recruiters excited.

When you watch back the highlights of that match if I can remember correctly, about 5 of those goals were soft free kicks like 10m out directly in front. It really inflated his value when it shouldn’t have.

If we are lucky he may be a late bloomer depth tall at best. Realistically I am thinking we need to try him down back because he is shit as a forward and looking like a Schache/Weiderman/Cook spud.

Kentfield took 10 marks at Casey, booted 2.4 and that’s without a pre season. He won’t be able to run out games yet but it’s good to hear about.

like career. Do sweet **** all in his first 7 seasons before finally breaking out with an AA level year.

That will certainly give the club time to sort out the rest of our list.

I thought he'd turned the corner with some of his stuff at Casey. Since he's come back in to the senior team though, he's looked like a 12 year old out there just making up the numbers. He's still (hopefully) got plenty of physical development left in him, but his lack of aggression and at times effort is a real concern.

He looks ok when he gets the ball (except when kicking frees from the pocket) but getting it will be the problem when he's about as physically threatening as Cale Morton
