Why is it, that 211 cannot get to the goal line when he should be there every time? Is this some plan from CC? I saw him numerous times tonight just standing outside 50 waiting for a shot. And the times he did get in there, he did a poor job, conceeded goals etc. One in particular he was out of posistion, realized the kick would drop short, and had to dive on it, eventually ended up stuffing it up. The point is, if he'd been in the PROPER posistion, and not napping 5m out from goal, it wouldn't have gone through his legs, it would have been fisted through for a point.

Our backline was a comedy of errors tonight. Heaps of mistakes and freebie goals to Brissy (even more than usual!) We have lost any ability to get the ball effectively back into play after an opposition behind.

Fact remains however, that the ball should not have been down there so much. That's a midfield problem foremost. Our backline falls to pieces at times when they are under siege.

Yes tonight was back to the old backline days. Turnovers and mistakes that gifted the opposion goals. Right now i can think of 4 goals that directly resulted from an error or turnover within the forward 50.

Take Mcmanus out the side and you will reduce errors by 30%......simple as that, i have wondered this year if he has put money on the opposion. At least 5 times last week he either kicked and hand passed directly to geelong. And it happened a few times tonight

We have afew in our backline that can rebound very well but when they need to actually man up an beat an opponent they are found lacking. Howver, whenb your midfield id disfunctional, then backline under huge pressure.

Barru and parker held up well.

You missed McPharlin quite a bit.

Probably your most important player, with Pav.

I believe we actually miss Matty Carr and especially James Walker more - Walker runs it out of the backline really well and has better skill execution than the rest of the backs.

And although Dessie can be slack, I think we really need him in the team to get some foward drive and break some lines with long kicks.

Backline is desimated.

Haddrill, McPharlin, Hayden, Walker, M.Carr.

Guess McPharlin shouldn't really be considered anymore, but we're still playing with second stringers, and its hurting. We are playing with the worst backline in the AFL or close to it right now. So undersized.

Throw Polak into that list. He hasn't turned up this year yet.
