Building up his running, on track with original 3-4 weeks.

Impressive young forward Irving Mosquito is making sharper progress in his recovery from a hamstring strain.

“Irving Mosquito is completing a high volume of running,” Crow said.

“He’ll start to build up to higher speeds over the next fortnight before becoming available.”

He definitely has a lot of AFL attributes but we'll see over this coming preseason (and in years to come) how he goes at things like building up his tank and getting his body to that mature hardened physique that he'll need. Tippa will be a great role model for him because it didn't come easy for Tippa.

Progressing well, not available this week due to personal leave though.

Crow said young Bomber Irving Mosquito is “progressing well” in his recovery from a hamstring strain, but the small forward’s return is still to be confirmed once he is back at The Hangar following a trip home to Halls Creek due to personal reasons.

“He’s ducked back to Halls Creek for a funeral and he’ll be back with us in another week’s time. Then we’ll see where he’s at and keep building him up from there.”

Severe hamstring strain, tendon involvement, surgery, season done.

“Right in the last minute of the game (Mosquito) did a sprint and got collected by another player. It was that awkward position and collision and he’s got another hamstring strain,” Crow said.

“Sometimes when you get caught in those awkward positions the hamstring strain affects the upper part of the hamstring around the tendon - unfortunately for Irving, that was the case.

“He’s in for surgery today to repair that tendon and that will be the end of his season.

that’s victim blaming Justin

3 months in rehab after that hamstring surgery. So ~10th of December?

2018 draftees Irving Mosquito (hamstring) and Noah Gown (foot stress fracture) went under the knife recently after succumbing to season-ending injuries.

Mosquito will spend the next three months in rehab, while Gown will commence running on an Alter-G treadmill in three weeks and is expected to start pre-season as normal.
