Ah crap. That's quite a big loss.

Either Belly comes in or we go a mosquito fleet up forward. I can see a small forward line performing better against Thompson, Grima and Hansen, I'd prefer a tall forward line to get us over Carlton first though.
Hanson will take 10 intercept marks if we don't keep him occupied.

I wouldn't be surprised if we are a better side without him playing forward. He's played 2-3 good games forward against nobody defenders. The rest have been average.

If Belly can ruck a fair bit and we swing Ryder forward we may be more potent. Maybe more mobile also.

The big issue is TBC's fitness and ability to at least break even in the ruck. In his games so far this season he's been nowhere near it. I agree with you regarding Ryder, he will certainly make our forward line better provided he can get the supply.

I posted last night.. that the strong suggestion was that he will be 'touch and go' for the first final.. and may even depend on whether we are the Friday/Saturday or Sunday game.. also if he is close.. I think they will risk it.

Also important that it was 'tightness' he felt rather than actual tear or strain...

Anyway.. we are all collectively hoping for Carlisle to get right before North game.. vital for our structure.

Hardingham has played well vs north as a forward a couple times. Provides insurance in defense and could allow Hurley to pinch hit up forward if we get desperate.
Take me to the gallows instead. No to Hardringham! I'd rather go small than play Hardringham. Watson at FF, Hepp in the centre.
