If he had the ability you think he has, then there'd be no need for this cheating in the first place.

In a grand final I know who'd I'd put my money on to perform at the highest level - selwood over any Collingwood midfielder ANY DAY

Get the blinkers off. When Selwood gets grabbed by the jumper he ducks his head into the arm to draw a free kick. He should be penalised for not disposing of the ball. He exploits a rule that makes him appear to be "hard" when it's actually a soft act. It's staging for a free instead of making the first move of disposing of the ball. It's no different to Murali being allowed to chuck. Cheat.

Rewatch the last quarter and selwoods attack on the ball. Then try and name a tougher player in the collingwood team.

i only read the first 6 pages of this thread but the arrogance of both cats and pies supporters is making me sick! no point blabing your mouths untill the cup is won.

Do you know what's going to happen to Selwood if he drops his head like that in a GF when tackled by one of our tough as nails midfielders? He'll do it once, they'll make him pay, and he'll be stretchered off. Geelong supporters will scream blue murder, but he'll only have himself to blame. You can't expect to keep ducking your head like that without someone taking it off.

I can guarantee that WILL NOT happen. Hard as nails? Selwood eats those nail for breakfast.

Didn't know Geelong and Collingwood are already in the GF..

Collingwood have won one flag in 50 odd years and have a history of choking in finals. Yet their supporters are acting like they have already won the flag this year

It's going to be comedy with a capital C when they mess it up in the finals again :thumbsu:

What are you talking about? I've never gone missing from this site, even after 8 years i still post after a loss.

So have Geelong's midfield become terrible in less than a season? Or has Collingwood's midfield improved so much in a dozen rounds, since they got smacked last time out, and since they got absolutely walloped in the prelim?

Quite unlike the mass exodus of Cats fans after 08, probably yourself amongst them, who only came crawling back late September 09.

Yeah, probably

The latter. The side is improving as the season goes on, hopefully they'll be hitting their absolute peak in a months time.

this thread will be flogged to death if the pies don't win the flag this year.

it will be close to 100 pages by the time every one is sick of it.

i can't wait.

Collingwood's game plan is much lower risk than Geelong's. If everything clicks for Geelong, they could blow the Pies away, but the Pies won't have many truly bad days with that game plan. They rarely use the corridor, and as such, have a much larger margin for error when turning the ball over.

I agree with the poster who said this flag is Collingwood's to lose.

Wow, I've missed a lot in this thread.

Weren't we only talking about Saturday nights win? All of a sudden we're back to flag and finals talk?

christ.

Most of us knew Saturday nights result was going to be a lose lose situation for Pies supporters.

Beat the Cats:

- Flags aren't won in August
- Cats were carrying injured players
- Cats were off their game, will thump you in finals

Beat the Cats, get excited over win:

- See above
- Lol, Collingwood supporters already think they've won the flag

Lost to Cats:

- Collingwood are pretenders
- lol Dale Thomas
- Collingwood will never beat Geelong for the rest of human history
- Collingwood fluked the St.Kilda win

So please, o great and wise non-Collingwood supporters of BigFooty. Please let us know how we should react to thumping the reigning premier and one of the greatest teams in history.

We'd love to know.
