Thats where the academys can get a little f'd over.
What happens if GC or Brisbane had Cummings rated higher than Annable & Uweland?
They still wouldnt pick Cummings as they would always go the local talent but its a good thing for the rest of the clubs.

If they rated Cumming higher, they couldn't have selected him as they didn't have a low enough pick. However, if they had a pick low enough and rated Cumming higher than their academy picks, they'd select him.

might have worked out ok for us, that he got injured when he did in th SANFL, otherwise he may have been snapped up by WC.
Rhy made mention, that they went over to watch him in that SANFL game he blitzed, then the following game he got injured 5 minutes into the first Q.
I think he also mentioned in both his interviews how hard at it he is and how hard he works defensively. Made the point that we may have to tone his attack down just a little

Yeah at time he got injured he seemed the clear #1 and off to WC both for his performance and WC's need for a star mid.might have worked out ok for us, that he got injured when he did in th SANFL, otherwise he may have been snapped up by WC.

I asked the Flea during the year and he didn’t know but Daryl lives in Wentworth and coached Wentworth after his VFL days
