Riley Beveridge said he had spoken to a number of clubs in the last 48 hours who rated Cummy as a top 3 player in the draft pool.

Love this kid and have since mid june
Kid just has that Heeney like traits and Heeney is 1 of my fav non tiger players
so glad we have a similar player

If you throw a blanket over the top 4 or 5 free picks in the draft Sam Cumming with all his attributes is one who
seems to have a lot of upside potential.

It now makes sense why we got rid of so many of the Jacobs this year we needed the space for all the Sams.


Cumming good in the air also on the ground he could develop into a lethal S.A.M. for the Tigers.

Great pick up, a goal kicking mid is one of our most pressing needs, and Sam fills that role perfectly for us.

We now have three goal kicking mids in the last 2 drafts in Sam Lalor, Taj Hotton and Sam Cumming.

With Robey v Cummings I thought Robey the better option but if we didn't go there with Robey Cumming is that type of mid we need and the safer pick the two with the proven track record and consistency.

Interesting listening to Geish this morning, he’s been playing against men since the age of 15 (Wentworth) and this year in the SANFL
Obviously he’s making the transition to the next level up easily, to the extent there’s not a lot of difference in his performance from the Nationals to SANFL. Hopefully he makes the next step (AFL) as seamlessly.

Gotta say, thought Shifters and Mick Abletts comparisons to Cumming last night were way off the mark.
Shifter thought Dunkley, Ablett going with Newcombe.

Just looks like he's continuously about to break into tears. I thought he was crying because he was so happy to be at the club but now I'm thinking that's the mask he wears.

Excited by his game though - offers so much in and around the footy and is a real threat up forward. Best part is, we really don't know how good he is because he missed a large chunk of the year.
