Should probably have posted this here rather than the autopsy thread, so I'll just quote myself.

Goldy makes me sad and angry. Cranky to be exact. There was a period in the second where he visibly lifted. He jumped. He moved his arms around while holding the ball in a tackle trying to get rid of it. He tried to outmuscle the fat kid. He looked a different player. literally. And then he buggered off again. Night and day in terms of intensity when looking at that short period. He is clearly still CAPABLE. I think the bronx cheers prickled his pride a bit. Then he remembered he cant be ****** and went through the motions.

Sick of the guy. **** whatever trade value he has, **** his salary. Get him out of the team and get Preuss in. Preuss/Daw should be the combo we trial for the rest of the year to find out how well they work together (my guess is quite well considering how different they are). Trade him for an early second or even just fire the bastard. Ironically seeing him play with intensity is what killed my patience with him for goo

Love him for what? He can't kick, doesn't take marks, is overpaid, got outplayed at Sydney by a Canadian rugby player so he had to leave to get a game.
Are you serious? He left because Sydney paid the big bucks to Franklin. He got squeezed out of the salary cap. You do not know what youre talking about.

He left because he is a spud and GWS overpaid him big time.

How many times has he been named in the AA squad or team?

Bullshit. The bloke was doing everything he could to get the ball moving forward in those last 5 minutes.

And Luke misses everything from the same distance as Goldie. May have made a difference don't you think?

8 hitouts to advantage from Goldy
pot shots against Luke and Taz who have comfortably been top 10 players this year.

an obscure reference to Kent Kingsley for reasons i can only imagine??

a poor swipe at mumford for which i imagine is a vailed attempt to pump up a comparing ruckman,

Luke misses everything and we lose by less than a goal. It's relevant.

Taz lowered his colours today. He was also on Kersten the first time we played the dockers. It's relevant.

Nyhuis kicks 4 on debut. Kingsley kicked 6. Its relevant.

Pointing out facts about Mumford who isn't fit to tie Todd's laces. Relevant.

I thought Goldie was a bit better today - but unfortunately this is where he is at now - i.e. ok against a kid he would have demolished 3 years ago.

The idea that he will get back to his best/become a top 2 ruckman again is just fantasy now - he is not the type of player that will 'push through' to regain his standing in the game. Its time to move on now.

Goldy was pretty good in the second half, can't see how anybody can call for his head over Majak.

In years to come I'm hoping we look back on that miss as one massive positive for the club.
Well because we actually got back into the game when Daw started to set up clearances.

Anyone realise goldy getting 800k was a result of his AA performance and other club's offering $ to leave. He was worth it at the time. Same thing could quite easily eventuate if Dustin Martin resigns with Tigers for 1.1 million.
