I noticed a number of occasions today, him being bumped off the ball by players half his size. I think there is intensity issues. His work rate in Q1 was very poor.
Todays match output.

11 contested , 5 clearances, 3 stoppages, 5 one percenters, 2 contested marks are all elite stats for a ruckman.

Not just good.

ELITE!

People need to get their heads out of their arses. Anyone suggesting Majak should take his place needs their head read.

If he can pick up on his skill execution and simple fumbles he would be the AA ruckman again.

The haters are going to dive all over that kick, but his intensity couldn't be faulted.

However, his ball handling and disposal have dropped right off the cliff. It's clearly confidence.
I thought he was very poor in the first, got the bronx cheer in the second then lifted immensely for the next 5-10 minutes, and for the rest of the game played at about the same level he has all year. There was such a visible lift in intensity that it made me angry. His around the ground stats are very good for a ruckman, but only OK compared to his not-so recent many dicked past. It's his ruck craft that has concerned me most of all though (that's what is damaging the team the most, in terms of his contributions), I have no idea of the stats but I would be willing to wager decent money that the ratio of hitouts to advantage between him and his opponent has dropped significantly.

He broke about even in the hit outs, but I agree his ruck influence has dropped off somewhat.

We still won the clearances 42 to 33, so it wasn't a major issue today.

And that there people is why stats are misleading,He was so far from elite its not funny. tried hard in the second quarter then went back to his old soft ways.

Goldy was pretty good in the second half, can't see how anybody can call for his head over Majak.

In years to come I'm hoping we look back on that miss as one massive positive for the club.
Majak had 3 defenders on him all day holding onto his arm. Did you notice every time they kicked it to him he could only get one arm up?

He was against a fat kid ffs! He should have owned him and stolen his play lunch. Anywho we don't need both Goldy and Preuss, I am on record as saying trade either I don't care which.

Interested in your view?

He beat his opponent. End of story.

No chance of a trade. It won't happen and he isn't anywhere near our biggest problem.

If Preussy was fit I would like to see Goldy go back to the VFL for a week or two to regain his touch. Unfortunately Preuss has hurt himself.

When Hamish McIntosh had the chance to win a game with an after the siren set shot, it would have been very close to the exact same spot of the ground at the same end of the same stadium. Hank finished his career at Strathmore. Just saying.
