8D (6K 2H), 1M, 6T, 52 HO, 0 I50, 3 R50, 1 Free, 2 Against.

6 tackles is good. 52 Hit outs would be expected wouldn't it? I'd expect it anyway. The rest ... well ... he had less total possessions than Maj's contested possessions. Less marks than Maj's contested marks and one more tackle. It was a rough day weather wise apparantly, maybe that slowed him a bit.

If Todds formline was represented by a yo-yo, with the string fully extended being his dominant best, right now, the string is wound up and the yo-yo has been placed in the cupboard with the pogo stick, tamagotchi and any other fad related item you begged your parents to buy.

How many minutes did they both play in the ruck?
Dunno.

But given both are no 1 rucks and both have posted no 1 ruck hit out numbers i will work on the assumption that both played no 1 ruck for most of, if not all their time in ground.

If the assumption is correct (i reckon the odds are pretty good) then Todd got outworked by Hawthorns second choice ruckman on a day where his elite contested work around the contest should have ensured at least a better tackle count.

He's struggling

Haha, now you're basing a game on metres gained for a ruckman?

I'm simply stating Goldy wasn't the only ruck to play in poor conditions on Sunday. He was though, the only AA ruckman playing two's against a player that hasn't cracked a senior spot yet.

One would assume he would be able to go pretty well. He may have been Of great presence out there, but he stats suggest he didn't dominate like someone of his stature should.

Conditions were poor but doesn't change the fact that Goldstein was also poor. He has done nothing to suggest senior selection this week and you would be stupid to think otherwise.
Not speaking for DR, or for Goldy's return, but I don't buy the assertion he was poor based on stats at a game none of us attended. I'd listen to any of the usual VFL watchers, or I'll wait and see what the match committee does.
